By best position he means have the most money to throw around. Not all but a big majority of these kids are only concerned with that and don’t even care about depth chart or anything. Unfortunately anyone who thinks we will ever have a #1 overall high school only recruiting class very often is lying to themselves Texas and Texas A&M prove it isn’t about results on the field or putting guys into the NFL it’s purely who can pay me the most. Is what it is,we need to be the portal kings

is that FONG guy ever right?

If true about Dom's mom and her not liking Lsu at all, then we don’t have a prayer in this battle either!!

In Simmons case it was apparently $400K / year. If you understand the future value of money and the career risk these kids have, then you have to agree with his decision.

He makes sure to be right at the last minute.
So the Texas insiders says the mom has taught for like 25 years and Texas putting out the education front to her.

0 of the 8 five stars from Louisiana that left the state did not get drafted in the first round.
So what? They were in most cases complete shitheads that wouldn't have done well here, either.

The biggest obstacle right now just seems to be who will be his DLine coach. Lindsey's medical issues hopefully get clearer before December or we make a move on a new coach before then.
No way is that the biggest obstacle imo.

Was it or was it not deserved? He’s a good kid. He was a TERRIBLE QB. He was also coached poorly so maybe not all his fault

You can tell him and probably the mom are very reserved.
I Dont think this is just going to come down to the most money. I think it will be overall package.
Texas seems to be doing well in that regard.

Looks like Texas may be a bigger player than Aggies especially in LA
Will be funny when Sark gets fired in next year or two

Would anyone here want their DL kid to commit to a school without a DL coach? Put your homerism aside and ask yourself that

Not that I am in any way threatened by Texas YET, it is going to be hard for us to make up ground with Joseph and Harris there. They know all the negatives about LSU, they know how to recruit LA, and they have more NIL money than most anyone in the country. If you aren’t a tad bit worried you’re delusional.

Brandon Harris probably hates LSU lol, we straight shite on him
To be fair, we shite on every qb who played that bad. And it was partly Les Miles fault if we are being honest. He didn’t give two shits about developing qbs.

Uh huh, and I suppose Texas is just the epitome of flawless as far as its university, city, and football program. Texas has a presence outside of their state because of one thing and one thing only. If they had the same budget as UTEP, do you think kids would ever go there? They haven’t even been competitive since most of the current high school kids were in kindergarten.

I call bullshite on your assessment. They may make up crap about LSU, how they weren't properly coached ?? years ago, etc. If we can't overcome that, we deserve to get beat...

I’ll never forget I made a post after watching him warm up and how he carried himself before a game. He also played a quarter or so and was very inaccurate. I posted he’d be a flop and had like 4 up votes and 300 down votes. I’d love to this day knew who the other three were that could see it plain as day he was a prime bust candidate.

I’ll say it’s fair… maybe they don’t. But if Texas (which is very talented this season) makes a run, with their money, pedigree, and their head of recruiting being from right here in LA and a former LSU player, you don’t think they are gonna come after every top kid in the state? They already pulled Arch (don’t care) and Derek Williams. Now they more than likely will get McKinley if they want him. You aren’t the least bit worried? You should be.
