He had nothing to do with the CBs. He coaches S and even with all the vets at S, they were very sloppy at times through the season and lots of communication issues.

I didn't like the cooks hire from the beginning but he seems to be a really good recruiter.

He also did an admirable job with the hand he was dealt at safety this yr.

Well the safeties played pretty well as well, Brooks made a play in the Auburn game and Foucha in the Ole Miss game, both were game changing plays. And like I said, you have 4 guys of your top 6 spending time together in spring ball and fall camp only, they collectively, the secondary that is, played well considering the fact there were going to be as you say communication issues (sort of expected). The only team that really beat LSU on deep balls was Hooker, consistently, that is.

So secondary with efforts of both CB and Safety coaches (Steeples and Cooks) played well.

Half the rant wanted him to be named DC like 5 minutes ago. Lol

Idiots did.

Same people wanted Austin Thomas as athletic director.

Whats the point of this thread?
To show that Raymond was a product of LSU and not the other way around like a lot here wanted to believe.

Yet people thought he should be given DC job to keep him.

Yeah, having fun and being bored on this chat, bored is real cool. But remember Nguyen bashing, Cory Raymond, that he was a really good tiger. And I will say as a player not necessarily coach. So he deserves some respect for being a good former tiger. Wha

We tried to tell people like Mascona that lsu was dbu before Raymond but they acted like drama queens when he left anyway.

I would argue they actually regressed as the season progressed. They looked really bad in spots especially second half of the season.

There is a reason Aranda fought so hard to bring in Bill Busch. He was not high on Raymond’s coaching ability.
