Five Star LSU Commit Jacoby Mathews Is LSU's Best Recruiter for 2022.

Mathews is working the likes of four-star defensive lineman Quency Wiggins, four-star wideout Shazz Preston and others are among his top targets that he's wanting to land for the Tigers. He was able to make his recruiting pushes in-person in June thanks to the dead period ending.
"It was great. First place I went, I made sure I got up there to LSU," he said. "I probably went like two weeks in a row every day back-to-back. I did a lot of good recruiting. Being able to just be in front of the guys, face to face, all the other recruits, it made it easier to be able to recruit them. The best coaching staff in the world. That's the only place I wanted to go.
"I feel like we got a lot more commits coming out once the dead period lifts again so we'll be looking forward to what comes in the fall."
