I want this kid. He wants in and it's obvious. I hope we can keep him.

I've been hyping him up. Also glad that he already plays under center.

I've read he has talked to the coaches about also playing baseball for LSU.

I for one would love to hear more feed back about this kid
His height and mobility are big pluses. His arm strength is the better of the two and taking snaps from under center isn't something new for him. However, you can definitely tell he's a pitcher by his throwing motion so that could use some work.

I think some people focus on Shea because if he doesn't come here he will probably be at another SEC school, which we definitely do no want.
As for Franks, big arm, opportunistic and more importantly SMART runner, accurate, makes reads, not afraid to dump it off quickly to get it in the hands of a playmaker. Sometimes he floats it too much, but thats nearly every HS QB ever. Also, not great at slants.

I completely agree with your enthusiasm for Franks, but threads like these are more retarded than the few inquiring about Patterson. Franks is a beast and nowhere have I seen anyone talking about "trading" one for the other. I think they both have loads of potential and hope that they both come to LSU and compete at a high level. The reason that threads like these are ridiculous is because you are calling out people for talking about a high school recruit with interest in LSU. This is the LSU RECRUITING BOARD on tiger droppings. It's an open fricking forum for LSU fans to talk about RECRUITING and the prospects with interest in LSU. Especially the top quarterback in the state of Louisiana for 2016 when LSU has a need at the position. I don't care how many amazing QBs LSU has at the moment, we can always use another that is just as good or could be better. Here's to LSU pulling both amazing talents

He has potential to be a very good college Qb and he loves LSU that is all I can ask. I am happy to have him and I hope we keep him.

The threads on this site have been horrendous since the Chavis departure.

And I respect your opinion, but at the same time all this Shea talk makes it seem like we're ungrateful for the guy that we DO have. I'd like to have Shea too, but I won't lose an ounce of sleep if he decides to go elsewhere.

Feleipe will be a Great Tiger,Wish he was here this year.

No doubt that Franks is a HUGE pull.

I'm not against you. I like the premise of the thread.
Insecure fans is all.
They have a red Lexus in the garage and want the silver one too.
If Shea was committed and Franks wasn't we have the opposite Franks threads all over.
What a fickle bunch we have here.

Im just tired of people on the board acting as if we dont get Shea LSU football is goin to be doomed. We have what maybe the best qb prospect in the class in Franks definitely our best since Ryan Perrilloux. With his arm talent and physically he truly a generational talent. He can spin it with the best and has the mobilty to extend plays and make something out of nothing and from his film knows how to play the QB position. I cant wait to see this kid in P&G

How is that receiver #7 on his team? He looks pretty good.

I agree completely with the OP (and others that are echoing his opinion).
It's fine to have threads about Patterson - he is an LSU recruit. But when folks post (in those thread) that he is the most-important LSU recruit in Miles' tenure, it's not just hyperbole - it is also a direct slap in the face of Franks (because the only way Patterson can be that important is if he is leaps and bounds better than Franks).
Seriously, I want one or the other - and LSU will be set. But if something occurs where we somehow miss out on both of them, any meltdown that followed would be justified.
