Hope so. Brown seems like a freak at LBer. He plays multiple positions this year but I could see him being a bigger Out-of-state steal than Trevon Randle last year

Damn if someone picks Houston over LSU (that doesnt suck) I'd be embarrassed.

Therefore, if he goes to Houston he obviously sucks.

He does not have to suck at his position to want to be the star from day one. And if he sees himself in the NFL, he may not care about academics. And he may actually like living in a huge city, over B.R. which is small town, comparatively.

I hate when fans project negativity on recruits, even before its known what they will do. Dont you imagine he can read this thread?

All I can say is I'm being serious, but you never know about these kids. I can careless if people believe me, just don't want these people to get their hopes up and/or ridicule a human-being for choosing a college other than LSU.

No problems, really rather have Brown, but Chavis seems to like Phillips.

Phillips physical attributes in camps are not great at all. But his film is impressive. Usually those stats are overrated, especially for a LB. 2 more LBs would make me happy with who is left on the board. I hope we land Devall too.

Phillips has 2 teammates committed to Houston. It's very possible he goes there to play with them. IMO, it's not really the best way to make a 4-5 year decision, but hes shown already to make abnormal decisions through this process. As with any La prospect the coaches covet, I hope we end up with him.

Nothing beats going to a shitty program because your friends aren't good enough to get scholarship offers from good programs. His buds shopped themselves around as a package to every halfway decent college in america and nobody bit. LOL at him if he goes to Houston since Sumlin won't be there for more than a year of his career.

Not saying that what you say about the silent is untrue but I do think it is pointless if it's true. He's already commited and decommited twice so to be honest no coaching staff or fan should care who he's commited to until he puts pen to paper and faxes it in.Until then his word and "commitment" are meaningless as shown by the way he's handled the process. Not saying he's a bad kid or that he doesn't actually mean it when he's commited to schools this year but I for one don't care who he commits to until his school of choice recieves his LOI.Fwiw I still hear he'll be a Tiger and have since late August/early September. It's all playing out just the way I was told then. We'll see if it ends the way it's supposed to.

Perkins is an athlete, running back first at LSU. We would and probably will take both

Though I feel Perkins will eventually end up at LB,I agree that he's a take regardless. We'd take Perkins,Phillips and Devall if it worked out that way.The coaches want Perkins pretty bad it seems.

I sure hope we land Perkins, Philips, and Devall. I would love to finish this class with Perkins, Philips, Devall, Landon Collins, Jeremy Hill, and either Anthony Alford or Jeremy Liggins. This could be an incredible recruiting class for us. Our 2009,2010, and 2011 classes are turning out nicely ,and I think 2012 will be much the same. It's a great time to be a Tiger!
