wrong. all world talent alone can't win plus the only ready qb isn't ready yet.

Tell us how this roster is better than the preseason #9 roster we had last year at this point.
Some were touting that as one of the best rosters LSU had ever put together preseason. We felt we had fixed the line and were stacked at RB, and Nuss was 1 or 2 on most preseason Heisman polls. Perkins was back and we were stacked on D with portal pick ups and core coming back.
My guess is we will be pre-season 8-10 based on this roster and the lack of Chemistry. Wait until he gets a recruiting class or 2 under him. He will be cooking.

The vast majority of them have no experience in this offense.

We have two OM offensive transfers. Both were true freshmen last year. Experience with scheme and culture is about as low as you can get. I expect the defense to be good from the start, the offense to continuously improve over the season, and have no idea about special teams. My attitude is not to expect the playoffs, but to enjoy the ride if we do.

The glaring thing in that article is Bama at #21. I don’t think OM is a top 10 school next year. With Chambliss gone I don’t see them having the offense.

Let it go, please. That was 20 years and a lifetime ago. Using these old, tired and overplayed narrative tricks on TD make it intolerable and unreadable.

I’m sorry, but ranking OM in the top ten is delusional. Golding has never been a head coach. And the OM “run” in the playoffs was Tulane and an offensive shootout against GA. The OC who called that game is at LSU now. Golding’s defense was mediocre, at best, in the playoffs.

I won’t predict LSU’s record this early, but I’m pretty sure Kiffin is shooting higher than 15.

It was a complete purge and roster rebuild. That's a reasonable guess.

Seems like these preseason top 25 list are going to be even more off the mark than in years past with the portal.

At least before that you had an idea of returning players and how they performed together, now teams are turning over 30-40% of a roster in an offseason. Who the hell knows what chemistry will be like in the locker rooms etc

ESPN released their “Way Too Early Top 25” and has us at 15
We’ll definitely be top 15 to start the season. Everyone else in their top 20 had a minimum of 9 wins and they’re weighting what happened last season a little too much. What happens in the offseason definitely comes into play too and LSU is the offseason national champion at this point.

Cue A&M jokes

I’ll say we get a ranking of 10-12 in the polls going into next season

Ok. We play the games on the field, so somehow after the excitement we have had in the off-season, it is going to require patience to know what we have on the field. We raved about our Oline last off-season. This Oline will need time to gel. We won't really know how good they are until we play some good teams.

I think if we finish 15th with the money we spent on players and staff for next season, it would be a disappointment.
Then it's a good thing that poll represents the starting point and not the end point.
