Happy for the kid. La kid that eats and sleeps football. Kinda funny he is starting and Walker Howard is holding a clipboard at OM.

I’m just glad Walker is continuing to do what he does best. He deserves that clipboard more than anyone.

Isnt that the dude that was supposedly scared of Walker which is why he didn't commit to LSU? I seem to recall Bama picking up a 5 star QB the same year LSU got Walker. Was he not scared of the 5 star at Bama? Didn't he commit to Bama acting like he's been a Bama fan since before birth. Didnt he run away from Bama after one year?

I will never understand leaving as a 3rd QB to a place where you were still 3rd on the depth chart. And even after a year he's still 2nd string. Barring injury it will still have taken him 4 years to become a starter.
People said he left, because he didn't like being on the 3rd team, so why did he choose Ole Miss? Any ways, it's all good. LSU had another Heisman.

I don’t think it was he was scared. He had Nuss in front as well. Bama at the time wasn’t sold 100% on Milroe. Bama recruited him hard.

The talk on the board was he transferred HS so that he could avoid Walker and true to what was said he didnt even consider LSU since we had Walker. Seems to have worked out in his favor

He looks pretty good today. 30-40 339 yds 3 td’s and 1 pick through 3 qtrs.

Yeah he has looked good. Few bad decisions but he got away with them. Glad to see a local look good. Wish he could have ended up at LSU somehow but as others have stated in this thread we got Nuss going this year and the Underwood era next.

Just checked in on his stats.
Pitts is 3-0 with upset wins versus West Virginia and Cincinnati.
Holstein is proving to be a legit FBS starter. Thru three games: 938 yards passing. 9 TDs 2 Int.

This is false. Saban placed him at Pitt. Came straight from his mouth. He knew he had a chance to win the starting job. He knew he wasn’t beating out Nuss and with Underwood committed he didn’t even consider LSU. It’s not personal it’s a business decision. He made a good one.
