LSU didn’t even take a rb that year, that’s the sad part

That ship has sailed. He wanted to be at LSU. Offer didn’t come. He’s happy at Tenn.

You read a thread like this and still assume the top ranked guy is always the best 3 years later?

Not gonna lie we’ve been missing on RBs for a while now. We can’t seem to get the right guys in here. Jackson is a really good RB but our guys don’t have great vision or patience. They need to coach these guys up quickly. Its not a good look to not be able to run the ball an FCS team. Then give up 21 points in the first half.

This team has some major work to do. I still think it’s a really good team just not as far advanced as I thought. They have some growing to do. Honestly, we’re just starting to stack real talent that will put us in the “elite” or “championship” category. We have good players but we don’t have enough elite difference makers mixed in with this group of players at the moment. It looks like another 9-3 or 8-4 season unfortunately.

I’m not in the let’s fire everyone group, just think it’s taken us this long to get the talent back up to par with everyone. Now it will be another year or two before we can pass some of them up. We really need to add some elite guys to this roster for this QB we have coming. He’s the real deal. This class will be similar to the 2019 class in terms of elite talent. If we can continue that for the next two classes, that’s when we should see a championship run. Just my opinion.
