Zero. That is how many times South Carolina has ever played in a National Championship game. We played in 2 and won one with Les Miles and won one with Coach O. No one would have them in the top 50 of all time coaches. Your program had Spurrier and didn't win one. Must suck to cheer for such a loser program. Enjoy mediocrity.

I never said we were great but you gotta admit, when your 90 million dollar coach gets out recruited by a coach on the hottest of seats who won’t be there after a year, that’s pretty embarrassing.

The QB position is going to have an amount you can allot, and while more than any other position, this amount is still finite, if you plan on having a team around him to win championships.
This kid is not probably even starting next year, unless he is your only option and your team is not playing for championships. Not worthy of even backup money on a team trying to make the playoffs.
So you let a SC pay him whatever to bust his chops and get some coaching. If he proves his potential vs good competition, then you spend.
Your team outbidding another for his services now is actually a knock on your program.

He won’t transfer to LSU so you shouldn’t even get your hopes up for that to happen. Kiffen wanted Sellars and couldn’t even get him to transfer. Your theory might sound good in your head but it’ll never come to fruition. Kiffen likely will have to go to the DII route again like he did for Chambliss.
