two questions...

Is Tommy Rees leaving ND

and is the QB following him?

There were a lot of Rant Rumors last week of Rees moving on with the new openings but none that I am aware of are valid even as a rumor.

He was a freshman in 2020 so he's technically a junior but he does have 3 years of eligibility. He is probably leaving because they were still looking at him as a backup going forward.

Exactly. His stock is up right now. If he's holding a clipboard next year, it goes right back down. Kids don't sit and hold clipboards anymore. Why wait for your chance when division 2 QBs are being drafted into the NFL?

I hate how LSU fans always thinks that the back up QB is going to be the next savior.

Burrow was third team at Ohio St.
Most QBs were second team at some point in their careers.
Even Tom Brady, both in college and at New England.

Joe Burrow is the best QB(season) 2019 is a once in a lifetime generational player in College Football History

That is not true. Burrow is the best QB in LSU history with possible exceptions of Bert Jones and Y.A, Tittle. As good as Burrow was, he is not clearly better than every other QB in a generation.

Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are part of that generation. Burrow was the best QB of that draft class and he could be the best in LSU history. Anything beyond that is man-crush hyperbole.

He went 8-2 as a starter and 4-1 against ranked teams (only losing to USC). Wonder if he was a Kelly recruit?

All the QBs currently on Notre Dame's roster are Kelly recruits.

I imagine he’s saying Burrow had the best season ever, which matches up, regardless of position, in the history of college football. Therefore that was a once in a lifetime individual and team season and that season, he played as a generational player.

Josh Allen is a great player but simultaneously overrated. Burrow is better than Allen. Mahomes however? Not at this time. All are top five quarterbacks. Though, he and the Bengals have he and the Chiefs number. It’s not necessarily a man-crush for Burrow to be both considered a once in a lifetime college player with the level of mainstream, team, and individual success, albeit that single season to attribute to it. It is not outlandish to project him to be an all time caliber quarterback, once he calls it quits, either, with the early success and play.

From New Iberia La, but live in Mass. Saw Pyne play in HS, back in 19'. Think his dad works for IMG, so probably knows the lay of the transfer portal. Pyne is probably going to BC. He entered the portal the day after Jurkovec, BC's starting QB entered the transfer portal. Just my guess, but he'll probably remain in the New England area.

You realize that football players, even QBs, can get injured right? Probably a good idea to have a couple options just in case.
