There’s no such thing, a few years they said that about perk and the same about nuss to start this year. You still have to play the game

We have great DLine coaches on staff, I would much prefer to get 2 or 3 lesser known players for the same money as Stewart and have depth and possibly strike a diamond in the rough via good coaching.

We already have guys like that on this roster. We just had an amazing DL recruiting class. But we need someone who can be dominant on the other side from Reliford, so he isn’t saddled with having to be that on his own.

People talked shite when Kiffin paid big to bring in Walter Nolan two years ago because he was very obviously all about the money. I know that Ole Miss team didn’t make the playoffs as expected, but their defense still took a major leap from the previous season and he had a great year. He was drafted in the first round after the season, as expected.

This is all just you projecting. The more likely outcome is that Stewart shows up wherever he decides to go and is dominant as long as he’s healthy next season.

Nah, the guys we had were worse. Stewart had more sacks than the guys we brought in.

Stewart was worse this year than he was as a freshman, he has a lot left to prove

And he had a stud on the opposite side drawing attention too

There exists a price point certainly.

Can't say I share all of your thoughts or want what you want, but I do feel like a big part of what we saw at Clemson this year is all of the attention many of their players got in the offseason.

High draft hype with agents and family in their ears about protecting themselves at all costs.

I’m really not interested in seeing more shooting celebrations…

If you have the opportunity to get a potential 1st round pass rusher, you take it.

But what if Stewart wants to try to win a national title along the way?

I've seen him mocked as the #1 overall pick by reputable football people like WalterFootball.

This does not compute

But yes of course you go for one of the best pass rushers in the country

Unless you are donating a substantial amount of money to LSUs NIL, why do you care about how and who LSU spends their money on? Especially on 1st rd talents of all people

I’m definitely not a Kiffinite, but a talent like Stewart on your D-line will make the other D-linemen more effective.

Some of what he can do can’t be coached. He’s dominant. Pay him.

I get your rationale and don’t particularly disagree if a guy has a certain attitude. I’m not going to pretend to know what kind of a guy Stewart is.

But sometimes you just don’t overthink it.

The guy was just giving an opinion on a message board. It’s fine if you don’t agree but it would be pretty fricking boring if the only people posting were big donors.

2027 draft is LOADED. The difference between pick 5 and pick 18 is literally like $15 million…do people use any common sense?
