I’ll prob get downvoted into oblivion but there is a ton of smoke around Crew’s coming back next year due to an unprecedented NIL partnership with Todd Graves and Canes. This could be signifying that the deal has been done.

Not that anyone is going to believe you anyway, but out of curiosity I would like to know one place that you have seen this "smoke". Since there is a ton of it, you should be able to name a few reliable sources right?

Not as far fetched as you’d think. I thought it was crazy too but supposedly the deal includes the purchase of several franchises plus other incentives.

Canes does not have the money to keep Crews here. Franchise, he would have to give him about 20 franchises.
1 he loses leverage to negotiate as a senior. 2 he is the first pick in the draft.
If he stays he really hates the Pirates, Tigers and Nationals.

Yes it is. It’s not just a money thing. It’s getting their pro career started to make to the bigs younger and hit free agency younger. Crews is represented by Scott Boras who knows how to play the MLB free agency game in the current structure better than anyone.

Down voted into oblivion is the correct reaction to this take. No chance this is happening. He would forfeit any and all leverage with MLB by coming back. Makes no sense.
