Does this board help LSU with recruiting?

We always hear how bad it is for it when a recruiting battle doesnt go our way. Weird we havent heard that lately.

Recruiting hasn't been LSU's problem for years. LSU is always in the top ten, or close enough.

Hurst more than helps IMO. If enough kids hear how dumb Miles is from fans, they'll start to wonder if its true. Probably why we're gaining more national attention every year.

I helped LSU out a lot with recruiting through my posts on here. I expect a phone call from Les or Frank any time now.

I don't think it helps.
I also don't believe it has a profound negative effect either when people are bashing the staff, but even if it hurts a small fraction of a fraction, that's still too much. When people like Lorenzo Carter say it came down to being a 51/49% decision, why would you give him any inkling of a reason not to pick LSU?

the negativity that they create around the staff and program certainly doesn't help. This was a great class but it could have been one for the ages.

So you believe recruits stayed away from lsu because they logged onto the td recruiting board, saw the negative posts, and were like "im not going there, when i can go to another big college football school without negative messageboards"?

this board shouldn't "be for recruiting"
this board should be considered for "fans to follow recruiting" with zero impact on any single recruit.

The point is, quit bashing the freaking coaching staff publicly, or recruits that decide against LSU. How hard is that for people to adhere to?

No it does not help with recruiting and only hurts.
Recruits who read this board (and yes its very popular across the country) may read 100 comments (95 good and 5 bad) and the negative comments may stick with him.
The recruits must remember this is an LSU message board probably the most popular sports message board . It demonstrates the amount of passion the fans have for LSU.
