Likely going to be used to retain top talent and make portal moves

Don't forget Safety. We desperately need a starter from the portal

Are coaches allowed to talk about specific recruits now?

And when will we see coaches personally writing checks to recruits? I know Kelly is an employee but doesn’t his LLC get paid as well? Year end tax deduction with the early signing period?

They did. Specifically talking about the portal. With the resources freed up from Underwood flipping, they have more to spread to others and potentially in the portal for top guys if necessary.

That said, no one other than those within the program know for sure what the war chest looks like at the moment. What we do know is LSU is playing the NIL game as best as it can right now and we now have coaches who can flat out recruit the south and a GM who knows how to build a roster.

Our current season is lackluster, but if people can't see that the pieces are in place to help bring the program back up, then they aren't paying attention or they are too impatient.

Word is the NFL feedback was they wanted to see him at guard and he may end up back for another season. Would expect him to shift inside if he, in fact, does come back.

Adams and Hill should be capable Tackles and you could have a guy who’s been around in Bordelon as a backup and a few young options there. Then you bring in a couple of experienced IOL in the portal and let them all battle it out for C and LG.

Would Chester be s fit at OG?

He’s actually taller than ideal for a Center. It’s usually better to have someone a little shorter to get low for the snap and keep leverage at the point of attack. Added height just makes that more difficult.
