Wouldn't have minded Ricks, but if we're talking immediate impact, Amos is the guy.

So is Ricks just about the bag? If so, I thought A&M learned their lesson.

Basically. His top 3 were Ole Miss & Oregon, only way to be more blatant was if it included Colorado.

The aggies are so fricking annoying. Just throwing money at kids. For what? Just wasting good talent away that teams with a chance could use. Why did we ever allow this frick arse school to join the SEC. Without the SEC they’re nothing.

A&M wanted to throw a bag to own us for the sake of owning us. It’s something their and Texas’s boosters like to do to us to show us they can outspend us on any player they really want. Saban used to do it by grabbing Louisiana kids he didn’t even want that bad. He just wanted to show us who was daddy.

Comparing A&M or Texas to Alabama/Saban is lunacy. Hate to agree but ya Alabama owned us for a while when Saban was in his prime. A&M and Texas on the other hand don’t own shite.

Sour grapes ? How so ? He wanted to visit us, and we told him thanks but no thanks.

We're not going to pay top tier starter money to an unproven commodity. Why would you want us to ?

We will land a starting caliber DT, and a productive backup, and our defense is going to be 60 spots better next season.

We don't need to pay Desmond Ricks $625,000 to accomplish that.

Just like we shouldn't pay out the arse for Lance Heard to be the backup LT, or even RT with Jones sliding over to guard.

It's just not a responsible way to use your resources.

Now, we'll see if that's a mistake after next season. However I have this sneaking suspicion that Campbell defies all odds and speculation and plays a 4th year, especially if we're looking like we're on the cusp of a championship.

Should be the subject of every post in here and be enough. He gave us first shot. We turned him away. What else is the kid supposed to do, lower his demands to appease us? That's why conversations are had, apparently a long one. We couldn't get him to.
The need to list reasons he's terrible and that our program is superior to TAM because we have a different budget and are thriftier spenders exudes sour grapes. At least that it triggered an emotional response.

They are paying Ricks more than any of their starters. I wonder how the starters feel about a freshman getting more money than them. Probably gunna cause a lot of hate when he gets out performed in practice and games. But I always enjoyed his family’s Cabaret. Best ham and cheese in the quarter. In New Orleans.
