His transcripts were sent late and weren't correct. the frick do you want LSU to do about that?

If that is the case, that doesn't remotely explain the fact that he abruptly changed his mind on LSU and completely ruled them out right after.

Kinda of odd and if you're assertion is correct, then there is some other reason that we don't know that he just decided against LSU.

I've got nothing to add about Dexter Pratt...except to say I think we should start referring to Lee Fedora as Douchebag #1 and Larry Fedora as Douchebag #2.

I really just thought that after all this shite everyone needed to see a picture of a hot chick:

Did anyone consider the fact that the kid may have just changed his mind?

What happened was Pratt showed up here ready to start school and thought he had a room in the dorm paid for as part of his football scholarship. His transcripts from his HS contained some questionable items and was flagged by the clearing house. (most notably a correspondence course he took this past semester).

Because of his elgibility being tied up by the NCAA LSU was barred by NCAA rules from providing him any assistance. As a result he had scramble for a place to stay and slept on the couch of one of the other players apartments.

This of course did not sit well with him and he was embarressed. His high coach says there was no truth to the rumor that his personal belongings were tampered with while he slept on the couch but who knows.

He probably left for LSU with a lot of fanfare and having to go back home to wait things out with the clearinghouse caused him to lose face. Next thing you know a week later he's committed to OKst.

I think it was just another example of a spoiled, prima donna high school athlete pouting when things don't go perfectly his way!

Maybe that his highschool coach had to cover his own arse and put the blame on LSU instead of taking it on himself. That's a long drive back to Texas with Fedora telling him who knows what. LSU has dealt with many of these situations, they know how to deal with the clearinghouse, people are on the payroll for this stuff. How much experience does Fedora have dealing with this stuff. I'd venture to say absolutely none.

Still, If he can get cleared to enroll OSU, LSU shares some blame on this.

1)Some people in LSU are paid for making sure these kids will get cleared by NCAA.
2)Even it's messed up, LSU should do some damage control to make sure the kids is OK with enrolling a couple of weeks later.

Put yourself into his shoe, what would you think when you heard this and nobody seemed to care that much?

At lease, I would think Les or coaches should let the kid stay at their house. Couch?

Kid could have checked online...

My completely uninformed wild guess is his high school coach told him he was cleared, yet he wasn't, so the coach blamed LSU. Riddle me this...why did his HS coach come get him and bring him back to Texas instead of his parents / gaurdians?

What did LSU/Les do after they found out NCAA didn't clear him? It seems to me that it's more like a wait-and-see attitude.

Point is that we could've done something differently or more proactively to show the kid some love/caring. It may not change his mind if everything is planned by his coach. But we could've done better

Do these recruits usually handle their own paper work or do they rely on HS coaches and counselors to do so? I am asking because I do not know. When I went to school I enrolled myself and took care of my own paperwork. I did have scholarship out of JC, but not athletic. I prepared my own paper work and was only advised by counselors.
Just wanted to clearify who Dexter Pratt would fault besides himself on this matter.

This kids not playing anywhere this spring. If he gets his shite straight, he MIGHT be on a campus this fall. This is not LSU's fault.
