Miami and PSU will be ahead of us

What did LSU/Les do after they found out NCAA didn't clear him? It seems to me that it's more like a wait-and-see attitude.

Point is that we could've done something differently or more proactively to show the kid some love/caring. It may not change his mind if everything is planned by his coach. But we could've done better

Still, If he can get cleared to enroll OSU, LSU shares some blame on this.

1)Some people in LSU are paid for making sure these kids will get cleared by NCAA.
2)Even it's messed up, LSU should do some damage control to make sure the kids is OK with enrolling a couple of weeks later.

Put yourself into his shoe, what would you think when you heard this and nobody seemed to care that much?

At lease, I would think Les or coaches should let the kid stay at their house. Couch?

Xavier Lee for FSU

That's why I don't like what he is trying to do here in LA.
1)he has plenty of talent in AL
2)Have you seen Spurrier so actively compete with UF on certain players? I am sure spurrier loves UF.
Saban doesn't give a damn about LSU. It's all business for him
It's kind of sad that recruiting is getting so ugly.

10 years ago, I guess no Rivals/Scout/ESPNU rankings. All of sudden, recruiting gets too much attention.
that's the problem with him. He tries to hit people first
He's just not that good compared to Ed Reed or Sean Taylor.

Even when he was at LSU, he didn't get many INTs. His ability to defend pass is not that good. He plays run well and he tackles well.
We get at least one out of Ruben, Kelly and Debose.
We should not take any other receivers. If we do have spots left, I'd rather take extra DL/OL players

If you haven't heard any rumors on a commit, it's good
Joe never publicly eliminated USC.
ESPN just reported Broncos have serious interest in Stoops. From Bob Stoops statement, it does seem that he has some interest as well. He doesn't deny anything.

he should be fine. He was seen celebrating with teammates after the game.

It's like us vs OU now on TV

Does Mizz look like us?

defense plays read and react, LB can't cover RB, no pressure from D-line, horrible secondary

Offense side, can't rush the ball, ....

Miles has to prove himself the other way. Right now, he did less with great talent on most part.

We were fortunate to be in the Game. it should never come down to a loss by Mizz and WVU.

Guys,

It's same old "Coaching"

Our coaches didn't put these players on a position to win. All these players you mentioned here were pretty good coming out HS. Saban tried very hard to sway Phelon.

Let's be honest here. Can you imagine what our defense would be with Saban here?

Most schools are dreaming to have kind of players we have.

To the fans, it's just a game. To these players, it's not.

If he wants to play QB at LSU or any school, he has to learn to handle the pressure. Let's put this way, most pressure comes from the fact that Lee hasn't progressed. He kept making the same mistakes from his first game.

Miles need to do something. This defense is killing him, lots of people
quote:
Wide receiver Demetrius Byrd spoke more bluntly about Lee's psyche.

"We have to keep him in a comfort zone," Byrd said. "Because if he gets out of that comfort zone, he'll go out there and throw eight interceptions."
look out for Arkansas next year. I am just not confident on our coaching staff. We simply keep making the same mistakes. Not just this season. I saw similar thing last year. We hardly dominate our opponents and we hardly play up to our potential.

Bama is lucky this year with auburn, tenn,us,arkansas not as strong as before. But they will be very good for the years to come.

We didn't play well against Bama. You can say the same thing on their game as well.

On a given night, the ball may bounce bama way. The key is to control the game with running the same and keep tebow on the sideline.

Don't count out Alabama. The way to beat FL is to have a running game and good defense. Bama has that. Nobody can outscore FL.
I posted a couple of days back and I was saying "Byrd not tough enough" and got hammered here.

To me, he has huge attitude this year. Part of that may be on QB play. But he hasn't shown leadership on/off the field this year. Have you seen bowe or doucet complaining that much? Byrd gave up on too many plays this year.

re: Byrd not a tough player

am not trying to attack the player. I like how he played last year. This year, I think he has been very frustrated and he has shown that on the field.

In UGA game, one one 3rd down play, he caught the ball and just laid down with one and hard yard short of 1st down. He could easily get the first down

In Bama game, he should've caught the ball. In NFL, nobody gives you that much space to catch the ball. You've got be prepared to take some vicious hits.

Why do Byrd fear the contact so much? I think he has some attitude this year. When he got the ball, he didn't fight for yardage after that. he tried to get on the ground even when the defenders were away from him. His mind is in NFL combine now

I think we should play Mitchel/Tolliver more.
quote:

While I agree limitedly with what you say, I say defense has been a bigger issue.

How bout if we look at things another way. If the defense allowed the games to be low scoring, we could allow Lee to just not try to lose the game for us rather than trying to have him win it.

Put Lee in the position and tell him not to lose the game rather than forcing him to have to make plays and some of the turnovers go away.

Against Bama, we were leading 14-7. He threw pick 6. He missed the open receivers almost throughput the game. Against UGA and UF, you can blame defense more than offence. Bama, no.
