Devonte Lee of Amite and Trey Palmer of Kentwood or two outstanding high school receivers, best friends, and hope to play together in college.

My question do you think this hurt or help LSU chances of landing them?
I think Palmer is a LSU lean at this time, not sure about Lee.

We all know how these things go when the players say these things so IMO it matters none.

I think what really matters is how much attrition they see after this season and how effective the offense is and who is effective in the offense. That's what really matters. Really depends how the season goes whether it looks like we will still need to take more WRs or not.

Wanting to play together only goes so far...when it's crunch time, the kid is going to go where he feels is best for him.

Let's hope not. I hope these guys have higher standards than some of the other guys out the area.

Rep the state - its best for you, the state, and their future. It's a family decision. It's a business decision. Play at LSU.

Lee to Bama and Palmer to LSU. That’s how I see it based on conversations with a HC in the parish. Considering we loaded up last year , this is the year we can “miss” on a high profile local WR and still be ok. Corners baby, that’s where it’s at in 2019. We need em all .

Not even sure Lee will end up at WR at college level.
WR depth at LSU may scare both off right now.
Sopsher is the can't miss guy they really need.

Based on what the guys at 247 have stated, LSU is in a good spot with Palmer. If LSU has a solid passing game , I think we land him. Lee is harder to gauge and until if and when he signs, I would be prepared for him to pick Bama. I think he’s a replaceable talent but it just hurts from an image standpoint with him picking Bama. The big DL is the more important recruit simply because stud lineman don’t grow on trees like skill guys in this region. Absolutely no inside information just my impression from reading their quotes and message boards. I hope they all pick LSU but I refuse to be optimistic about the Amite duo until they sign on dotted line.

Palmer will be a Tiger.

Lee seems like he will end up at Bama.

agreed, to a point... hate losing them, again, to Bama, because not only do you not get the player, but your main rival now has them to use at their disposal...

I think it's interesting Bama is recruiting Lee at Safety. LSU recruiting him as a WR.

There is an issue with that guy in Amite pushing kids to BAMA. I remember the good ole days when if anyone pushed a player to an out of state school they would have to leave the state as well.
