Ahhh...this makes sense. I knew about the Bradshaw thing...but this puts it together for me. Thanks.

From what I've seen, he's a solid player. Better fit in 3-4.

Nothing spectacular in my opinion. Doesn't have great speed. Would have been nice to have, but he screams DE in our scheme.

He'll fit in well at Bama.

Jones, Phillips, and Feist fit our scheme much better. If we can turn Jones into a Mike linebacker, we will have a sick linebacker class that fits Chavis' scheme perfectly.

You'll have Jones flanked by Phillips and Feist.

Nasty athleticism

Going to Bama over A&M was kind of an F-U move by the kid, but I'll live.

That's just ridiculous. Kid has a chance to go play for the #2 program in the nation. I highly doubt he's basing his decision on which school(s) he can insult the most by going elsewhere.

I'll concede NELA to Bama. Not many players come out of there. If we own S. La, and Shreveport, it doesn't matter. They can take Diarse and Lathan if we keep Collins. The real talent is downstate.

I went to one Bastrop game this year....Ruston ran all over them. Was not impressed with Devall, but that was just one game.

Would be a much bigger loss if the state wasn't so deep in LB'ers this year. As it stands, I kinda feel like whatever...if he passes on LSU in favor of any school, recent history tells us he is passing on his best chance of success in football.

This would be the year that it's okay to lose a LBer.

Don't blame the guy one bit. He always seemed like a 3-4 LBer to me anyway.

Well Lorenzo Phillips, I think Devall may have just given you a spot at LSU

Congrats to the kid. I hope he does well in every game of his career except for when he plays LSU.

Him going to Bama doesn't bother me one bit.

If they start cherry picking, then I'm gonna have a big problem. However, that isn't happening and isn't going to happen.

I never thought this kid was coming to LSU, so I'm meh, but I guess Sherman getting ousted pushed him to Bama. Would have been a nice run-stopper at MLB,but I don't think he fits ourstyle. Don't think he can cover like what we are looking for, and won't be a DE in our system. Kid is better suited for the 3-4, and I think he made a good choice, just hate giving an in-stater to Bama..I mean, can LSU go in and take a top recruit out of Alabama now???

We could, but LA players >>>>>> Bama players.

We keep Collins, Bama gets our scraps. The 3 best LBs in LA this year are Feist, Jones, and Louis. We're 3 for 3.

I'll never be worried about the ones they get when they sign outta high school. I'll be worried when in college they start turning out any better than robby green, luther davis, kenny bell, darrington sentimore, and you could even say eddie lacey even though he is a quality player. The thinking is that as long as LSU has players in those positions that have proven themselves to be as good or better in college, we're cool. So far that has been the case beyond any shadow of doubt.

I mean, our two-star guy in Josh Williford has had as much impact as anyone they've gotten from La., no joke.

Congrats to Bama and to Devall. It's his choice and to me was the choice all along. Been talk that he's been silent since Nov 5 and I don't doubt it a bit. No hard feelings for me at all. An expected loss that I wanted at LSU but don't think is necessary. He is the 2nd best player in the state according to the experts so anyone that says he isn't good is kidding themselves. There is a reason he was the 1st lb offer this year.(Granier was technically last year)

This has no bearing on Phillips. He has always had a spot and always will. He's Chavis' guy and Chavis will take him no matter when.
