This is simply not true. Curtis isn’t expensive by any means, but there’s been plenty of athletes not pay to attend there. For people that have never seen it, the school and athletic facilities are less than impressive.

I remember we scrimmaged them I think my freshman year because our coach was friends with J.T. I was honestly expecting some huge, nice school.

My friend who coaches at Lutcher told me the same thing...Destrehan has some MEN on their team. Absolute studs.

Southside beat Acadiana

East St John will be a huge underdog vs Destrehan

You haven’t seen Karr play. Don’t look at the 4-3 record or the power ranking. They are one of the best teams I’ve seen in a long time.

Didn’t Karr have to forfeit some games?

Yes 3 of them. I haven’t heard why yet, wonder if it was a transfer that didn’t sit out the right number of games

DHS beat ESJ 48-7. It was 21-0 after 4 offensive plays. DHS pulled offensive starters at the end of the first half…could have scored 100…literally. I believe they are the best in the state…just have to finish it on the field. Probably have 10-15 D1 players on the field.

Yeah. They look different than a typical high school team for sure. I’d love to watch them play against Karr

I'm pretty sure they played in either the scrimmage or jamboree - and i think 1's vs 1's - Destrehan won.

Destrehan averages 45 points per game while holding their opponents to an average of 4 points. Only 2 touchdowns have been scored against that defense, I believe. They are the top team in the state in my opinion.

Spring scrimmage, was 6-6 in controlled, 0-0 in live quarter, anyone who says Karr would destroy Destrehan is dead wrong. Those two teams are about as evenly matched as you can get. There’s a long video somewhere of the highlights I remember watching it over the summer.

They said they have over 15 D1 prospects. I know they have Eugene committed to Tulane, 2 guys to ULL, 1 to Colorado state. 2 juniors ranked in the top 10 of Louisiana for next year.

I was at the THS game also and was amazed after watching them. Just the amount of kids on the team and the structure that they have in warm ups was impressive.

Probably the D 1 favorite along with Zachary and Ruston. I think Southside and East St. John can play with anybody as well
