Have you ever seen AL’s campus and facilities?

I am guessing Watts pick will be around 7 or 8. These night before announcements that has been his typical schedule.

Alabama is a MFer as is Saban, but results are there. He’s a proven winner brother, NIL plays a role but Nick is the all timer in college. Regardless, this would be a shocking move considering Alabama’s absolutely underwhelming development in the backend. Immense talent in that secondary and getting schooled. Ricks is huge on next level development, figure Baton Rouge would be the perfect move. We will see, I still anticipate it being P & G for him.

I mean guys. It sucks but this happened with JoJo Earle and Koht and I honestly don’t think we’ve missed either of them.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the portal in a couple years with his hand out again. Not to mention he was a 2024 kid just a few months ago we weren’t even expecting him in this class regardless

I mean I get it CBs are thin. But they were thin last year. Bring in some transfer portal kids and let’s role. Nobody had Mekhi Garner on their brains this time last year and he turned out to be a solid CB for the SEC west champs. Same thing with JBC and he was dang near lock down.

What LSU may lack in pure NIL freshman buying power. We have a very unique ability to put out a bat signal to the portal and bring some kids in that have experience, want to make the NFL leap and prove themselves. Kids that are a few years older and wiser not just chasing NIL but NFL money.

Just relax and don’t let 18 year old kids ruin your day.

I guess you haven’t seen ours? they’re just as good if not better

The kid got offered more money. Bama has a bigger NIL collective than LSU. Stop thinking too much into it

This happens every year. I don’t see how anybody didn’t see it coming. Our side is confident right up until the 11th hour and then it’s some bullshite excuse and the kid goes to Alabama.

Lol feel that brother. Any which way this plays out, we all must remember, LSU has done a helluva job recruiting and building the roster with what they had prior to Kelly’s arrival. Kelly’s great recruiting on the offensive line and the addition of Pimpton today, will make this team scary. Hankton developing Sampson, Brown, Parker, Anderson (stole from those fricks), and plenty of others is just icing on the cake. Add on some more depth in the portal, top class in 2024 (so far) with Simmons likely leading the way, and the Tigers are looking good. Win or lose this battle for Ricks, LSU is the future and a title will be in BR under Coach Kelly.

I still think it's Bama until it's not Bama. Everything points to LSU right now...that's why I'm skeptical. I've been burned too many times. The South pole elf in Tuscaloosa makes it a personal mission just to frick us at the last instance.

Link to this? I don’t buy this for a second. At least not by a large margin. They allegedly swiped Danny Lewis last year for like $25k. They deploy their resources more effectively and know the buttons to push.

Solid reasoning there friend. Agree with that, LSU is already making strides with or without Ricks. I anticipate a true power in the coming seasons.

I agree. It sucks because it seems like LSU dedicated a ton of NIL on Ricks as the main guy. Probably lost out elsewhere due to this.

I agree that it’s not the end of the world. But, you can’t get 5th year seniors to fill your starting CB spots every single year. There comes a point where you need to develop high quality talent.

That being said, I would go all in on Harris and then either Hunter or Cypress. That’d be a hell of a CB duo

Best case scenario is we’re able to pull the money from Ricks and throw it at Nyckoles Harbor.

If you want to build a dominant, championship caliber program then these are the battles you need to win.

You can't just whiff on elite CBs like this to a divisional rival and expect to just "make it up" in the transfer portal.

Especially after we've already lost Austin.

Bama folks were saying a couple of days ago that they were going to be offering 7 figure offers to the last few players they wanted.

I knew that was trouble

Saban is a hypocrite about NIL as it regards to recruiting but oh well

Problem with that is, money probably won’t be a huge sway for him. He comes from a upper middle class family, far as I know. Harbor holds MAJOR interest in LSU though, so they’ve got a good shot

Why couldn’t Leach still be alive and Saban die?

Based on insiders, it’s not looking like LSU lands him.

Best of luck to the young man. It’ll at least be fun watching Shelton “Moss” him for the next few years.
