Brennan finished his high school career in 2017 as one of the nation's top quarterbacks. He was a consensus four-star prospect by all the major sites, including Rivals. Brennan was ranked by ESPN as the No. 4 pocket passer and the No. 6 pro-style quarterback by 247Sports. He holds the Mississippi high school career records for total offense (16,168 yards), passing yards (15,138) and passing touchdowns (166).

Magee & Lewis are out
But Ingram rotated in all the time.

think 2 of 3 Cush, Ingram, Charles are gone
Yeah no way this will happen. Charles was suspended half the season. Ingram only played like what maybe 200 snaps all season? Cush could be but not like hes top of the draft board kind of prospect. I'd put him most likely but not highly likely.
quote:
Moss is gone
Based on what? Not like he dominated this year and this was his first year with real tape really. Hes not a high dragy pick by any shape of the imagination right now.
quote:
Jefferson is gone
This one I consider almost a lock, but who knows, hes not getting a 1st round grade but should be 2nd/3rd.

Then a bunch on defense
We'll see, think some are overestimating who all may be leaving. Only 3 senior starters on right now, we lose Delpit for sure. We'll see on the others. Chaisson most likely out but could still improve from pass rush standpoint to skyrocket him up boards too.

A guy like King would be nice to have
As a CEH replacement I agree, but again not sure he'd be fine with that role.

Where is the Moss leaving early coming from? Last I heard he was not leaving early.
Clyde is gone. Jefferson is likely gone.
Clyde is gone. Jefferson is likely gone.

Bruh the WRs are wide the frick open most of the time, and would be even more so with the attention King would receive on the ground.
Yeah these WRs arent always wide open by any shape of the imagination. Burrow is great at working though 2-3 progressions, King isnt. When we play the better teams like bama, auburn, uga, florida they stick to our receivers a lot better than others and Burrow had to make plenty of tight window throws those games, that's not something king will be able to do.
With king at QB we'll dominate the Ole Miss and Vanderbilts but struggle to throw it against the best teams when he cant fit things in tighter windows.

He wasn't the Heisman trophy winner before he got to Baton Rouge. I'm gonna name Brennan great White Hype Junior. Trey Quinn is his father.

Charles & Ingram’s indiscretions off the field make them more likely to go. Charles is in the program already, who knows what another failed test means for him. Ingram to me has just been buying time until he was draft eligible. He played less than I thought but he was a full year of tape from when he started as a Freshman
Cush will be a 5th year SR, I assume he’s set to graduate if he hasn’t already.
Same with Moss. Moss has missed a full season due to transfer and another full season to injury. Why would he come back to catch balls from Brennan, I’m not sure, but I guess there is a slim chance.

King would likely take off running, which I don’t hate.
Don’t compare him to burrow though. Is he a better option than Brennan, who’s looked lost in his brief snaps?
Honestly I think King would be worth 1.5 to 2 Wins more than Brennan next year

you guys are insane. we have no clue how good Brennan is. I'd take King and start him in a heartbeat. "doesnt fit out system".... uh what. We've have this system one damn year. you have no idea how a running QB could run it. Honestly Burrow's running ability keeps most defenses honest and forces them to spy. Imagine King taking off out of the pocket. thy'd have to play even more honest
Pass....
Something King lacks consistency with...
If Brady was "CONCERNED" we'd be all about it looking at options, as he's "NOT" going to do anything to affect his future NFL Value for himself....
AND IF WE ADDED KING, how many freaking QB's do you need on your roster...
I've SAID IT BEFORE, IT'S NOT HAPPENING....
Stop this or that, it's NOT HAPPENING

I guess you didn't actually watch the Auburn, UF, Bama games because we had receivers wide open in all three of them.

dude max johnson will be williams back up in 2021. this is brady guy and you will see him start day one on campus. they will make it work with myles next year but his senior year he will be out.. trust me when i say evans is a must get for this class because he helps myles out with it being a three headed back field next year.. chase and the boys will get the touches just like this year. just will be different with myles next year

It makes their draft stock a lot worse. Charles does have pretty good film, but being suspended half the season certainly isn't going to help his case. Imagine him coming back, having a stellar senior year and playing all season long. Could be in for a high draft pick.

Cush will be a 5th year SR, I assume he’s set to graduate if he hasn’t already.
This is why I said he's msot likely, but again, where will he be on draft boards? If he's fine being a later rounder then yeah I could see him going. Not so sure I see him in the first 3 maybe 4 rounds though.

This was Moss' first season really doing anything, and unlike some I dont really consider him some cant miss top prospect. He's a very solid player and reliable but top TE prospect right now? Probably not. He's probably 6'2 250 ish and I would bet he runs in that 4.8 range or so.

But will it work against teams with legit defenses? Not sure, and you're arent going to just run the ball and beat those teams. You HAVE to pass the ball these days.
quote:
Don’t compare him to burrow though. Is he a better option than Brennan, who’s looked lost in his brief snaps?
The comparison to Burrow was to show our WRs arent just running around wide open every play. How many times this year have seen Burrow work through multiple progressions? How many times have you seen him have to fit a ball in a very tight or almost perfect window (tons against the better teams). These are not things King is good at or used to, but things required to have an unstoppable passing offense.
quote:
Honestly I think King would be worth 1.5 to 2 Wins more than Brennan next year
Just dont see it, he just isnt a good fit for a passing offense. The few rare times he's had to go against a capable defense he's not done well throwing the football, and that's not the Auburn, Bama, Florida's of the world either I'm talking about. Not to mention, Brennan will have been here going on 3+ years coming up, a year under Brady and 2 years under Burrow. He will be light-years ahead in the offense vs. a guy who would come in at earliest summer time, have zero chemistry with the receivers, etc...

Ifr you think Burrow was throwing to wide open receivers all these games all game long you clearly didnt pay attention at all. He didn't complete almost 80% of his passes this season making easy throws all year. He had plenty of times where he had to place the ball in a tough location and he most of the time delivered.

I don’t know why we would want a guy who quit on his teammates. We talk about wanting quality players and men of character, like Joe Burreaux. Team players who are not all about themselves. If that’s what we want and that’s what we want to be about, why in the hell would we take a guy who, after the first few games don’t go the way he wanted, bails on his team, his coaches and his fans. I don’t want my alma mater sending a signal that we don’t have a problem with such selfishness and I don’t want King.
