At this point, the DT from Amite should not be a take

What da fuq? Where are you getting this from? He seems to be pretty locked in, especially since his brother has an offer on the table right now.

Taking both sopshers and Evans this year. We are planning on taking a big haul next year due to the influx of elite players in state at that position.

some truth but that's bc of lack of effort and intensity. He's a take based on talent though.

Hmmm...

Logan, Farrell, and Thomas are all getting snaps as sophomores. Fehoko will almost certainly return, and Lawrence is a tossup.

This doesn't include new arrivals for 2018:
- Moore
- Livingston
- Cotton
- Jenkins

Throw in the other 2 inside guys (Alexander and Shelvin) - and it is next to impossible to come to the conclusion that we will be lacking depth on the D-Line in 2019. No, they are not all proven -- but it is unlikely they all prove to be chumps.

What about Shelvin, you think he comes around?

This is my concern too considering Alexander can only get a few snaps every game due to his knees.

I upvoted you simply due to the fact that this may be your shortest post EVER.

Dude is playing like a beast and making a living in the backfield. I have no optimism that he will return.

Well Shelvin doesnt really have much game tape
But you're dead wrong about Alexander, he is very impressive when he plays, beats double teams, gets a lot of penetration. He's one of the highest graded players on denfese this year and was last year too. He is just snap limited in a few things, because he's not very useful on pass downs and his lingering knee issue means he's never going to be 60-70 snap guy in a game.

Just cause they getting snaps doesnt mean they are any good.
O needs to start recruiting some elite guys on Dline. seems like LSU is afraid to go after elite guys out of state on the Dline . Sure he got ferrell but he is more of a project. Wish we could recruit elite like bama/oh st at the DL position. I mean when is the last time LSU has gone out of state and got an elite Dlinemen at the DT position??
