Honestly, I think they will just have to say this will just be a 1 year thing given the complete change in our program. And then see that through

Recruiting experts advise us to trust the coaches-they understand the risk involved with discarding committed recruits.

No one that I have seen is on their high horse. Everyone will be happy WHEN we upgrade which we all believe is coming. Let’s just hope it doesn’t cause us issues in the future

That’s the 5* 2021 DE that gave a big eye emoji when he saw the tweet from bryant. And FYI, Tunmise was wearing LSU gloves at the end of last week

I think it's a one time deal as well cause the coaching staff greatly underestimated the demand of top recruits wanting to play for LSU as a response to this amazing season.

However, I wouldn't recommend saying anything about this situation. In fact, it's far better not to say anything at all about this situation in order to not attract any unwanted attention to it cause it could be used as negative recruiting against LSU.

Surely opposing coaches would not use our new recruiting strategy against us.

First, it's not a new recruiting strategy cause it's a one time deal. Second, sure they would use anything they can get their hands on against us.

You take the best players you can get to fill the needs of your team, period. No feelings or politics should matter, obviously bryant was on the bottom of the board so he was let go. Those players you mentioned regardless of where there from or their star rating are higher on the coaches board and may or may not make the final class, deal with it.

What position is Chiasson, Divinity, Thornton etc listed as? OLBs.
No, just no. OLB's in a 3-4 are stand up edge rushers, SAME as a DE in a 4-3.

Ok now I will educate you. What defense do we run? 3-4.
Answer me this... What is the difference between a 4-3 DE and a 3-4 OLB. Nothing!!! They set the edge and rush the passer. Everything else is just scheme.

LSU is in uncharted waters. I think the staff truly felt great about having a top 5 class with the possibility of adding Evans and Dumervil.

Success on the field caused the phones to start ringing and long shot prospects started to become a reality.

Gilbert started the dominos and came out of left field. That allowed Ojulari (HS teammate) to reconsider and got on board. When you add in Webb and Burch as high possibilities it’s not difficult to understand the staff trying to find 5-6 spots vs 1-2.

It’s unfortunate for the guys lower on the board and I understand wanting players who want to be at LSU. It’s just an unprecedented situation IMO.

There is still NSD in Feb as well. They have been given time to find a soft landing. You don’t think O understand or values the strength of relationships? If he has ANY strengths at all, then that is at the top of that man’s list.

I'm hoping we sign everyone the staff wants in December and start working on 2021 with a lil more focus.
