Daylen Austin is the 16th best CB in the nation (per 247). It's close, but technically he is better than any CB in the state of LA in 23. Curley Reed (#18) & Jordan Matthews (#19) are both 4 stars as well, but no reason to not go get the better player.

Let me fill you in on this kid. He goes to Long Beach poly witches a national power House every year in high school football. Long Beach poly has two campuses. One which is College preparatory and the other which is basic high school. He goes to the college preparatory campus. Has very good grades and has a good student. Lockdown corner with speed and athleticism. Great upside. Great get

Who cares if he's a 4star and the other guys in Louisiana are as well. It's not always about them coming in day one starters and these aren't scrubs.

I’m guessing the way he said that , that there’s a team outside the top ten that has a higher average but less recruits?
