The home team? He lives in Georgia. No matter how close he lives to Auburn’s campus, they are not the home team.

He's from less than an hour away and they gave him a huge bag. Nothing LSU could do besides overspend on an above average player.

Don’t think he fits into the current alignment
If it’s truly just about what someone is offering in terms of money then no he doesn’t fit with the alignment and I’m fine with losing kids like that.
Kelly has already shown that if push comes to shove he will get capable replacements through the portal and compete for championships with them

LSU is fine on DL recruiting. Even if Mickens leaves we have good depth.

What a stupid, short sighted move

I thought I read somewhere that he is having some family issues and his hometown is like 45 minutes from Auburn so that is probably why. Unless I am thinking of wrong guy

Could that have been Mickens possibly flipping to Ohio State? Or perhaps that could be one of these guys as they’re all in Georgia but close to AL, if my geography skills don’t fail me.

Reed is a talented kid who will likely have a nice career at Auburn.
LSU will be fine.

It’s kind of like North Texas kids with the Sooners

Pretty much, but development can vary nonetheless. Best of luck to him

Good riddance if he left LSU for a team without a coach. Gotta be NIL and all he is aligned with is the $$.

I’m thinking that’s who he meant. Mickens is also expected to flip this weekend fwiw

Mickens can’t go wrong with Ohio State or LSU, plus family matters. I will say, Ohio State is in position to land two five star defensive ends upcoming, so Mickens COULD get lost some in the shuffle or perhaps show out. Best of luck to all these kids, wish they all prosper.

It’s a straight shitshow, we have bigger and better to possibly land anyway, watch out for Washington and Hall. Depth would be nice but let him head to a place with no coach in place. We see whom is serious about committing to the Brian Kelly and LSU
Don't try and spin it like this is a good thing.

You don’t really think they told a kid who they’re hiring and expect it to be a secret do you?
It's not exactly a secret that Lane Kiffin is the next head coach. Yes, I'm aware that he's denied it, but it's Lane Kiffin. He does not remotely care about looking bad.
