Can we stop with this Bech being a hybrid thing. He was NEVER a TE at LSU. He’s role was always WR

I'm glad your team did well against Lewis, but Jamarr Chase had a game this year with 1 catch for 3 yards. One game isn't how to judge anyone.

Ignore his stars. He's legit and an absolute monster. Plays jump balls like he's a WR.

He’s gonna find out soon enough that him being a former ULL coach doesn’t mean shite to La kids

Agree with you, but I will say that we must find a running back that can serve as an adequate threat in the passing game as well.

Not too worried that we can’t find one - in fact we probably have one on the roster now that can fit that bill. Just got to get better development for you guys. And I believe in Frank/BK to get that done!

Back to your original point - the TEs. Thank about how much better our tide in room will be if we can somehow sign Michael Trigg and Danny Lewis in this cycle.

That room with all the sudden go from barren to Plush, with the likes of these five guys:

1. Kole Taylor
2. Michael Trigg
3. Jack Mashburn
4. Mason Taylor
5. Danny Lewis

This dude is way underrated by recruiting services. He's going to be a good one hopefully to us.

not saying we will ever be 2019 again. But do you remember how explosive this team was when not only did we have 3 WRs, but a TE that could also be a threat. no matter how good a defense is you can't guard that.

*And a RB who was dynamic catching the ball out the backfield ... Throw in a QB that can scan the field and knows how to use his safety valve and boom, party like its 2019 again

Just saw his senior highlight video. This is the most "just wait until he gets into a college weight room" kid I've ever seen.

Wait til Flint gets a hold of him

But seriously, he looks like a college weight program and conditioning in away from being a damn good TE at the college level. He's a good blocker and pass catcher.

I have said that for years. We have never really thrown to tightends much except for 2019. I can remember Florida beating us with a pass to a wide open tight end as well as bama year in and year out always throwing to the tight ends. Not so much this year and they did not win it all.

His technique needs a lot of work to be honest. Looks like he was basically told to run past the short kids and look up for the ball. Not trying to take anything away from him but his athleticism got him a long ways in HS and when he gets coached up on how to run routes and use your body and footwork.. look out.

Not to mention an almost guaranteed 1st down option in your checkdown (CEH). It's almost impossible defending an offense with 5 options to choose from.

And then add in that Burrow could and often would run for that first down himself making 6 legitimate options.

I watched this kid in the dome and he was a man amongst boys playing both ways. We joke about kids being underrated, but this kid is no doubt being overlooked. Seems like the writing is on the wall for him coming here and should help with his teammate Derek Williams for next class. Those 2 and Boutte are establishing a pretty damn good westgate pipeline.

Who knows what Kole Taylor can be with the right coaching also! I think these coaches will be pushing these guys much much harder than we’ve seen since Miles and Orgeron. Both allowed entirely too much and treated the team like a pro team, allowing them to basically decide when they would start trying to develop.

I believe these guys will be steady pushing the young guys or let them know this isn’t the place for them, when the time comes to do so. With the portal now, you can basically send a player packing who isn’t trying to develop and there’s no way that anyone can tell me that some of Miles and coach O’s young players weren’t biding their time when they were ready to start, then all of a sudden their play would pick up and they would lose weight or gain weight.

He’s not average. Average guys post trash in message boards about better players

He’s got a great upside, may be a better DE than TE, but any kid who’s all district in 4 sports in 4A is a well above average athlete.

Yeah, I haven’t written Kole Taylor off by any means.

And I certainly agree with you that he can be a significant contributor with proper development that I believe Mike Denbrock will give him.
