quote:false bravado? This man has oozed confidence his entire life and has won at life at every step of the way. His persona is infectious to many, but others obviously are used to stale white guys talking monotone, which is okay too, but it's not the only way.
Why would anyone worry about Colorado? I get that Coach “Prime” is the king of false bravado and trying to shite talk his way to the top, but he isn’t anyone.
quote:He is a great guy and mentor. Go read up on what he had to do to get Jackson St up and running. That place was a shithole in the poorest state in one of the pooriest cities in the country.
He’s pretending to be this great guy and mentor and he’s actually a massive self serving bullshite artist.
Also, self serving bullshite artist, that is the mindset of most successful coaches and people in the damn world. The United States is the king of that mindset.
quote:I beg to differ. One there is no pretend. He built Jackson St into a 2 time SWAC champ. Dude has been around scouting, coaching, and playing at the highest level, all of this his entire life. I would bet on him than against him.
You can be a pretender in the SWAC but P5 isn’t going to go so well for him,
quote:Yeah you don't know what you're talking about here and I'll just leave it at that.
nobody wants to catch footballs from his son against real competition

If prime comes in and offers one of your four stars $250,000 when you have valued every four-star at about maybe $100,000 each why wouldn’t one want to leave every now and then we don’t have unlimited funds.
Oh come on. He's coaching at Colorado. We're not talking about USCw or Michigan. He doesn't have millions to blow on NIL. Colorado wouldn't be 1-11 right now if there was that kind of fan base support. Name brand is the only recruiting ace has up his sleeve, and best of luck turning that into actual results for anybody who isn't a CB.
Maybe I should have said it explicitly rather than just implying it, but there's a lot of projection with the media coverage of Deion Sanders. These kids were born in 2004-2006. Deion Sanders played his last down of NFL football in 2005, and the last year he was a consistent starter was 2000. The vast majority of the kids don't even know who he is, and the most of the ones who do know who he is know who he is the same way you or I know Red Grange. Second hand and on other people's word.

Coach Prime is going to get a ton of good players. Let’s revisit after next signing day….going to be some hurt feelings across the country.
There's projected to be 3,000 players in the portal, many with major issues. Sure, he will get some players. That's the easy part.
It's already been proven at multiple schools that a portal heavy program is very hard to manage. It can be feast or famine.

There is a certain type player that will love to play for Sanders....but they can only take so many players per year.
Free agency and NIL money makes the roster a challenge, for all teams.

Not only going to be Portal players I’m sure he’ll pull plenty of high school kids.
He can sell the whole culture thing to some folks easier than selling winning.

I think that has more to deal with the odd fanbase and "traditions". They worship and cult following for dudes wearing bedazzled overalls and chants, squeezing each other nuts and calling it tradition. Look at ring day ceremonies. Many from A&M consider it the greatest day of their lives, grown men crying for weeks because losing an aggie ring. Many believe that ring gets them whatever job they want.
Its downright scary fanbase.

Does he have any eligibility left, “won at every level as a coach” Jackson St seriously not a level we want to be on

I was wondering about this. Can the NCAA punish you if it legal in the state?
I don't think its a small coincidence Prime went to Colorado instead of some other school.
