Looks like 247 updated their 2024 QB rankings and Hurley is now a 89 overall 3 star. I don't think it's showing in any of the composites yet. Pretty disappointing.

His composite actually rose. He was 150...now 132.

Yeah it's stupid, when Quinn Ewers reclassified he kept his numbers... But I watched a video 247 put out last week about how quarterbacks who reclassify tend to underperform, maybe they are going off past expectations here. Looks like they also updated his bio and have included information about how he will start college at 16 as well.

Doesn’t make a lick of difference. Kid is still a stud.

That’s ok…LSU will kick butt with this three star QB.

That's freaking insane. He can sit for 3 years developing and learning and then get a chance I guess

Just look at who was pursuing this kid. Tells you all you need to know. This young man is exactly the type of teammate LSU will win Championships with.

Hard to imagine a three star QB with offers from Alabama, Ohio state, Georgia, Florida and LSU

Only if you are a star gazer who values 247 scouts (most who’ve never coached a lick of ball) vs BK and Sloan.

He is very young and raw but has incredible arm. Very strong lower body.

I’m all in on the kid…let him redshirt and soak it all in. Pretty nuts if he’s actually 16 when he will be at lsu

What a joke. They wouldn't have dropped a 5 star to a 3 star if he committed to Alabama or Ohio State

That is way young to start college. Barely legal to drive. Would be a RS freshman at 17 too.

Agreed. If anything probably would have boosted.

The thing I can’t figure out is how does it benefit him to reclassify? At the end of the day what is the point to being a freshman in college at 16 years of age?

Dude is light years better than a 3* lol

He might be THAT good. Dude was the 2nd ranked QB of his class and probably moving in on being the top. He may also be the reason Julian Sayin swayed toward Alabama as apparently Hurley’s signing was WEEKS in the making before committing and it aligned somewhat with Sayin’s increased interest in Alabama, if I’m not mistaken. He will move up the rankings and be a five star for 24’, give it some time. There are five star recruits and there are generational talents, perhaps Hurley could be the latter, hence he is confident in his abilities to come to BR very early and the staff seem to agree.
Lots of speculation on my front but there are some clues sprinkled in.
