His build and throwing motion is similar to Caleb Williams.

I haven't seen him move around in the pocket much. Probably the competition he is playing.

Not saying he is Caleb williams.

I definitely see a Caleb Williams body type but he has several flick of the wrist, shortened delivery Aaron Rodgers types throws... Really unique, fluid throwing motion. Hopefully continues to grow physically.

Caleb Williams is fast. There's a reason there is no published Hurley 40 time.

I'm just mainly talking about his build.

He Def doesn't move around like caleb.

It's so refreshing to know the QB room has a plan in place for the future. LSU has come such a long way

Definitely needs to be pushed back up the rankings. Just goes to show, our staff knows what they are doing and the services need to come to us before they do their rankings

So he's scared of Hurley but not scared of Jadyn Davis?

I don't think Underwood would be scared of Jayden Daniels, much less Jadyn Davis. You're right. Competition will be the least of Underwood's concerns when picking a school. I got a little carried away with the hyperbole there.

Hate to say it, but he looks more accurate than Nuss and more decisive than Daniels. It’s just high school, but those attributes may hold up on the next level.

It's a highlight video. There are no bad plays on there. I could make a highlight video that would make you believe Anthony Jennings was the best QB to ever take a snap for LSU.

Obviously the coaches have seen more than just highlight films. So you trust their judgment. But it is always silly for someone to come in and say "he looks like a surefire 5 star player" in an evaluation strictly based upon film that purposely omits any and all bad plays (which every player has)

No joke, he’s the real deal and the way he leads his guys with one on one coverage reminds me of a young JB9. This is one of the recruits that I’ve been there just excited over in a long time and he could bring a championship to BR.

This.

Hurley has negative 63 rushing yards last year. That type of stat is literally unheard of from an elite HS QB. Caleb Williams had 400 yards rushing his last year.

If you’re getting negative 63 yards in HS, it speaks to a lack of an athletic gap between your competition at that level. When you get to college, he’d be a true statue in the pocket at 6 feet 1 inches.

I love the kids attitude and seeming work ethic, but having zero mobility in HS does not bode well. He was also barely over 50% completion so let’s pump the brakes a bit on Caleb Williams / Aaron Rodgers comparisons. Negative rushing yards is literally unheard of in a HS QB who became elite in college. It’s literally never happened.

So then you wouldn’t want Dylan Raiola, consensus #1 overall player in the 2024 class at QB, because he had -82 rushing yards last year?

The big question mark on Raiola is his mobility, particularly in the pocket. He's a big (6-3, 220), strong armed "marketed" QB that looks better in shorts and t-shirts than he does on the field.

This is a weak QB class.

If I have my choice, I take DJ Lagway. This past weekend he went 19/21 for 400+ yards and 4 TDs IN THE FIRST HALF playing Texas 6A football.

So, you would include all 6 passes ?
