Coach Kelly previously stated he had special traits and characteristics he was looking for in his offensive linemen. Does anyone have any idea what those traits are as he moves forward in recruiting?

Players who can play multiple positions on OL, intelligent, and disciplined players. No quote or article to link, just my opinion when looking at past ND offensive lines and brad Davis’ statement that they are teaching multiple positions to different players.

Pretty sure that one of the traits/characteristics BK looks for in OL is physical stature.

He prefers OL prospects w/ measurables in the ranges btwn.:
Ht.: 6'4"-6'7"
Wt.: 275-300 lbs.

And, he generally wants to avoid OL recruits that are 350+ lbs.

Hopefully this isn't the case. We've had enough small offensive lineman in the past that get physically dominated. Hopefully he's looking for big strong physical five star type traits

Looking at Notre Dames past offensive lines, its hard to argue with whatever BKs thought process is. It was the strength of his teams almost every year.

He wants more intelligent mountain men and less lazy over eaters.

No more will we try to keep guys that come out of high school at 340+ under check.

hopefully it is the case. It's better to get a guy that's a strong 280 and bulk him up to 300-315 than it is to get a guy that's 340 and try to get him down to 320 and maintain it.

Tackles that can play guard.

Not necessarily guards that will have to be forced to play tackle.

With the skill players LSU can attract, Kelly's O-Line traits and expertise will bring many W's to the P&G.

This is on Daugherty's IG story rn. He was crystal balled to us again a few hours ago. Ryan Yaites was crystal balled again as well.

That’s right he has a whole OL in the NFL from RT to TE, BK knows what he wants and will build a OL similar to Saban’s LSU, this Coach is SMART and so will Our OL be. Physically Smart with a Nasty streak

Huh what undersized lineman are you talking about? If anything we have had lineman who were too big lately and I’m recent memory

Go back and listen to his introductory press conference. Don't remember everything but specifically he said they recruited kids with a particular mentality who were driven to compete, work hard, and had a nasty disposition. Said there were kids with the right physical traits but could not succeed in his system because of their attitude and work ethic

Getting guys to gain weight as young oline man seems to be a good problem to have.

Getting these big ole fellas to lose weight seems to be the loser

This.
And add an "aggressive nature" to those. He stated as much at an early (I think it was early) Press Conference.
