Appreciate the post Kyle is a great kid. As you can tell he is well spoken and can really the sling the ball. Remember he is still a sophomore.
I am eager to see how he does this next season at Jesuit. If he can put together a decent season and then build on that his senior season I don't see why LSU wouldn't throw out an offer.
Also, his dad Jeff is a great guy nothing i'd like to see more than his son get to suit up in the p&g.

No. LSU gives out a long snapper scholarship every three years. Works out really well. Can you remember the last bad snap they've had? I can't.

I could see him playing another position as well if need be. He is tough for sure

Hasn't been one. Les actually started the trend of offering long snappers. Most major schools do now.

Damn he looks a lot like his dad. I can remember when Jeff got his first start at LSU against #4 Florida in the swamp
His first start was in 83 at home against FSU. It was a 40-35 loss. First forced home game in purple jerseys.

Unless you knew a recruit personally you didn't hear their name or know LSU was recruiting them. The first time you heard the names was after they signed.
Not exactly true... each newspaper (yes, black and white and read all over) would put out its annual blue-chip list and some national HS AA lists would get published well before signing day.

ummm, no. you can't offer a local high school kid until he actually shows out on the field
Do you even Zadock dude?
So it turns out that you can offer them, and we’ve done it. But you’re right in that we shouldn’t. And Mr Dinkelman hopefully taught us all that lesson, no matter how strong the blood lines and physical attributes.

We need long snappers, but in my opinion, not at a rate of about 1 per year.
2019 Q Skinner
2015 B Ferguson
2012 R Ferguson
Now let me find a 1st grader to help me double check my math...

Yea, unlike some other LSU legends kids.

Does his sister pitch for the lady tigers softball team? Seem to have heard that last name recently

Yes. The only reason I said this is because someone mentioned that his kids are great athletes.

WRONG....come on dude, spend 1 minute of your day to look this up and save yourself from looking so dumb for eternity

I recall Wickersham being a streaky passer. Would love it if his son would play here. Certainly has the size.
Yes, but LSU wasn't passing team and they threw way, way to many deep passes (low completion %) although it kept the opponent D from stacking the box.

Jeff Wickersham come to LSU instead of Florida in ‘82 because he liked the new QB coach (Mack Brown) that year. I bet Mack Brown will try to recruit young Kyle to UNC.

I know, not a long snapper. Funny how I can remember multiple bad snaps, but yeah i draw a blank on punts and field goals. One of those things you don't think about until you don't have it.

Irony: he signed with a junior college and that coach left for a new job last month.
ETA: I would offer Wickersham right now on what I have read. Legacies deserve respect.

I'm referring to recruits names that LSU was actually recruiting and offering. Not which players were considered blue chip players.
