We would be set up for a few years and our defense would automatically become nasty.

Has to be DJ. We were in his top 3 back in the spring and have been recruiting him for a while.
Back when it was looking (and eventually did) like Canada was going to be fired and everybody said he wasn't recruiting, he was visiting DJ.

Before you scoff, other than that length of contact that has other beneifits. That means DJ was on the recieving end of lots of 'promises' and 'just watch'... that have come to fruition.

Very few teams can say we're going to do A, B, and C and actually go out and do them. AND, literally, through his recruitment culminating with the win Sat.

When you're that recruit, watching this happen over a period of years and Ensminger is talking to you about trajectory and the future... and it happens... you take notice.

My predicted finish:
1. Evans
2. Webb
3. Dumervil
4. Crawford
5. Burch
6. RB/QB (could go either way)

I would be happy with those top 5. I feel good about 1-3 worried about grades with Crawford and Burch I hope we can snag. Don't want to run off Max or TJ, but if that means we sign a five star QB then so be it. I wouldn't run both off for sure though. I think we should just stick with who we have and go after Caleb for 2021. I think Brennan can do well next year.

Gun to my head and I had to place a bet on it, I'd say we stick with those two at QB, too. But outside shot at another.

Vol,, I am not asking for names, positions, ratings, etc. But,, are the committed kids on the bubble aware that they are?? Understanding of course that some are contingent on who we do get. Just curious if they are aware of the possibilities of moving on, grayshirt offer, etc.?

I don't think Canada was ever involved in recruiting DJ.

Ensminger started the whole process.
quote:

California gunslinger DJ Uiagalelei made his first-ever visit to Baton Rouge on Feb. 4, just two weeks after being offered by new offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger. Truth be told, even the No. 3-ranked pro-style passer per the 247Sports composite rankings, was caught off-guard by the overture.

quote:

Ensminger called the St. John Bosco (Calif.) product immediately after watching his sophomore highlight reel. The 6-foot-5 and 245-pound Uiagalelei possesses an impressive frame to go along with impressive arm strength and accuracy. “I talked to him [Ensminger] over the phone and he said he liked my film a lot,” Uiagalelei recalled. “He said I’m one of the quarterbacks they liked and he’d like to offer me a scholarship. He liked my film and he wanted to see me and have me come down there.

And for anyone wondering, yes, he has visited campus.

Not that it matters but from Vol’s list worst case we finish around 315 points. Best case 325. Both are probably enough for the number one class. We’re currently at 304.

DJ or bust at QB position. Looking like another RB at the moment. As. Vol said scary is 2021 may be even better. At the moment if all the kids that want in this class get in we will breat all records on recruiting. But remember these are youngsters. Get excited very easily ,short memery spans! And

Vol, is Rakim solid? Lots of rumors he wants to play with Bryce young. Also, is Demond Demas visiting for the A&M game?

Yes he is solid. Tattoo solid! Demas isn’t in play. Throwing crap against the wall and see if it sticks. At least we aren’t trying. And

So what's the approach here? Is there daily communication? Calls/texts once a week?

It's apparently an outside shot, but is that because we have 2 QB commits and aren't pressing that aggressively, or because he's still solid with this commitment?

If he was solid with his commitment we wouldn’t be having this conversation

Burch/Webb and the beasts on the interior we also have committed? 2 years from now might be the best LSU defense ever!

On top of that, Stingley will be a JR, playing both ways (per O’s promised to his parents) and will be LSU’s 2nd Heisman winner in a 3-year period.

I have a hard time believing CEH is already decided to go without even going thru the feedback process but we will see

So do you have an easier time seeing CEH growing 2 inches taller, shaving time off his 40, hitting a higher peak than right now, and improving his stock after NEXT season?

I’m saying the motivation to leave college is not as high if you are not projected to go high in the draft

I swear LSU fans are so football illiterate when it comes to their own smh

Please pretend like you’ve followed LSU before. They have had much better prospects return to school, as recent as this past offseason,
