Damn, that was impressive. I didn't know he was that explosive. He adds something different to the class I'm not seeing from the other D tackles.

He needs a lot of work on his pad level, but he's got that Glen Dorsey first step where it seems like he just moves through the offensive lineman.

Hard to say but I think he's underrated as a prospect.

He's not underrated. Rivals has him #6 DT ahead of Lawrence.

He has been a must get. Could contribute next year in the rotation.

I would say St. Aug is impressive when it comes to talent. How you don't win at least one or two titles with that much talent is crazy. Their talent has been nuts. Has to be the most underperforming program in the state.

I hope LSU has room for him, cause there is some talks with numbers, and don't know if that's a good thing, or not, with Big Ed having work to do on Academic front.

The competition is poor? Is that a serious question? This kid is the real deal like the rest of this class. Although referring to Rivals in any way is ill advised, that place is terrible.

Looks good as a tackle but think some ballet training may be required for being a better return man.

And Mathieu wasn't an underrated unknown either even though some keep saying it. Mathieu was a four star, top 250, and the #1 cover corner in the nation. The only reason his recruitment wasn't dramatic was because he was true lsu love bleeding p&g. As soon as he committed before his senior year he shut it down.

Neither he nor DCG are underrated unknowns.

DCG likes lsu but he is completely open. He wants to see what everyone offers.

Everyone was very late to recognize Mathieu. He blew up at a Tenn. camp and then everyone started paying attention.

I disregarded the plays where he went untouched into the back field except for the ones where his quickness allowed him to go unblocked. Several things I noticed: good quickness; he is high in the hips while in his stance; strong, but not of the charts with strength; used his hands well to shed blocks. I don't believe he is a day one starter, but he should develop much quicker than Frank Herron, but who knows.

You'll get downvoted, but this is absolutely what I see as well.
