did we show little/no interest so that we didn't scare off lache?

OR

did we just not want him even though he was on the LSU bandwagon?

LET'S SETTLE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL

I think they had 3 RBs committed (including Calhoun), and felt that they had a great shot for Lache. So yeah, if we don't get Lache, it was a mistake.

I think it was probably about Trent Richardson more than Seastrunk.

They thought they had a legit shot with Richardson and they liked him more.

Christine Michael wasn't what LSU was looking for?

They're retarded if it was about TR. I think it had much more to do with Lache than TR. The chances of getting TR to flip after the season weren't that good.

I never got it...he looked legit to me and he wanted to come here. I've got endless posts on here saying "i hope we don't regret passing on him"

What's the mistake? I'll take Storm Johnson and one other surprise(Dyer, Lache, Lattimore).........

We will get one of those 3 runningbacks......if LSU wins 10 games this year, and Auburn has the year we see with their talent and we'll see what Chizik can do.

I'm confident in our RB recruiting this year for 2 reasons:

1) Is that with LSU possibly losing 3 running backs this year if you count Trindon to pro track, KW goes top 3 rounds, and Charles Scott goes top 2 rounds; there are spots availible for elite runners.

2) Our running game is going to be mean this year. WIth JJ giving us some running abilities, this offense should see big time yards with Keiland and Chuck punishing you for 4 quarters.

Time will tell. It will be interesting to see what Michael does at A&M and who exactly we get at RB. I thought it was a mistake then and I think it is a mistake now. Nothing would make me happier than to eat a heaping plate of crow.

From what I heard and remember, on this board, Sonny Shea, and ESPN insider, it was a case of having Ford, Pratt and feeling good about Lache, and thinking they had a shot at Richardson.

Don't think the staff ever gave an offer so we will never know if he would have taken it, but think it would have been pretty interesting.

They should have gone with C.Michael imo....Its better to go with a five star that wants you, than to go with a 5 star that isn't sure.

I dont think Lache had anything to do with Michael not getting an offer.

IMO we didnt offer b/c we already had Ford and Pratt (with Calhoun as an ath that could play rb) on board and the only way they would have taken another rb would be if Richardson wanted in.

Ford will make everyone forget about Michael.

People forget about the Dexter Pratt fiasco.

Maybe the coaches thought that Pratt was a batter fit than Michael. Obviously if they had known what was going to happen, Michael would've gotten the offer over Pratt.

Everybody knew C.Michael is better than pratt...Even the coaches.

Christine is bigger, faster, and more experienced at Rb than pratt.

Isn't Michael around 5'11" and 200 lbs while Pratt is around 6'2" and 230 lbs?

Their actions don't bear this out.

All signs point to the coaches being content with Pratt over Michael, unless you have some inside info.

what the hell are you talking about

our coaches obviously didnt think Michael was better than Pratt b/c if they did they would have offered him

I think Pratt is a better player and a much more dynamic rb, he would have been a great player for LSU, a much bigger loss than Michael was.

Pratt is much bigger than Michael, Michael isnt that much faster than Pratt, and Pratt has plenty of experience at runningback, dude was a workhorse for his team, I bet if I looked up his carries, he would have more than Michael.

I wish him the best at A&M.

I think it was ok for LSU to pass on him.

Like I said, best of luck to him.
