I can believe all of this but I was under the belief he wanted to play corner and both us and bama don't have him rated as high as what we have committed.

He's 240 pounds, nobody recruited him to play corner

Exactly what I thought the problem was. Watching them play Catholic, aside from the 100yd kick off return, he looked out of place. He was the largest guy on the field it seemed and on an island. I thought he was firm on CB and that's why we didn't prioritize him.

No I'm pretty sure he knew he had no future as a CB on the college level.

A&M recruited him for LB from day 1. We offered and Bama originally offered as an h-back which he wasnt interested in, bama changed tunes a bit, but when he wanted to go there they didnt have any space for him. He was never interested in playing offense here.

I'm very close to the DB coach at UHS. Harris isn't coming here.

Does your "Source" want you to keep that under wraps or is it ok to go public with that one? I can't believe we lost another one man, shite...

Harris has been committed to A&M for the better part of 4 months, it's not like it's a secret he wasn't coming here

We also stopped recruiting him a long while ago.

I would agree with that completely and to be honest, I watched him play a whole game and never saw him hit anyone. At first glance he looks like a LB but he def plays football like a corner.

By putting it in quotes does that mean it’s not really a source?

It’s been public that’s he’s not coming here for quite awhile. The DB coach has just put a pretty strong “stamp” on it. The quotes means it’s not an actual stamp.

No by putting it in quotes I wanted to illustrate the importance your relationship with the DB's coach at UHigh had to do with you, me, basically the world finding out Harris wasn't coming here. Aside from not being all that asked to come here is all I was getting at. But hell, good thing you and the coach are tight, We'd know nothing of that recruit's intentions... Yes Sarcasm

In all seriousness, and not to be a dick or smartass if I seemed that way before, but are you insinuating that the DB's coach at UHIGH has an issue with sending any kids to LSU? If that's the case, well...

Good Lord......the DB coach is a huge LSU fan. He’s done what he can to change his mind.

Good deal. We don't have to get everyone from Uhigh and LSU isn't the best landing spot for everyone either.

Athletes vs football players in specific spots of need. That’s the question imho. I agree he will be a good player.

I am going to admit I know nothing of Kendell McCallum but for some reason I would be happier with a commitment from Harris. Probably just star gazing (or is it navel gazing) on my part. The staff must think McCallum is the better player.

Starks, Brooks, and Harris just sounds like a better LB class to me.

Not at LB. They see a big, physical ILB in McCallum. Bryton Constantin is the LB prospect on their team, I personally think Harris is an H-back in college.
