No offense to Sonny but he hasn't shown much consistency outside recruiting. On recruiting however, hes the best source, IMO.

Very unlikely RBs will redshirt. The RS year counts towards the 3-year minimum to go pro, and if the guy is a player they may not want to "waste" a year running looks (Moreno at UGA).

This rarely happens with RBs.

Wouldn't surprise me, just like Coffee I doubt his stock can get any higher. Some guys are just limited by their draft stock, no matter what numbers they put up in CFB.

Has Black decided if he is coming back?

I could see Scott deciding to leave because he'd be running behind a young line next year. I think that played heavy into Coffee's decision making. Losing 3 starting O-line guys could easily contribute to a stock drop.

I told the rant a month ago that Scott was going pro.

But what do I know?

Just the person that he told but that is not a very good source I guess I will listen to Buddy from now on.

Scott got a lot of yards running right behind Big Herm and Helms. They are both gone next year. IMO we need to go to more of a speed running game than linin up in the I-form and trying to pound it.

Wow, at least you are honest and decent enough to admit when you're wrong. Happens to the best of us.

If he stays its because he thinks LSU has a chance to make a run at the Championship with the changes at qb and DC.

Because he was not happy this past year he did not have fun at the end of the year and did not see much reason to stay.

Does Ford and/or Pratt redshirt if this happens or are they thrown into the fire as true freshmen?

don't see why either would play if scott leaves

ridley is the big back

keiland is the half and half guy (esp if they let him get back to his 2006/2007 body)

trindon is the speed back

murphy needs to prove that he's better than mediocre, but he's 3rd/4th on the depth chart

we don't need 4-5 backs

I would think Ford might have a chance to get some playing time if he comes in and lights things up. He looks like one of those guys that would be hard not to get on the field.

it's better to use a murphy, who already has used a RS, than to not use a RS on these guys

unless the team would benefit from having them out on the field, which we won't know until they get out on the practice field

Because based on his talent he might only be in college 3 years anyhow.

If Scott goes, and I think it's still an if, Ridley will be the main man next season. Can't wait to see what he will do on the field.
