None of this matters when your head coach is a complete joke and promotes his buddies instead of people that actually are promising stars in their coaching areas.
LSU is going to struggle in the coming years because of people like you supporting a horrid hire.

Yes Coach Zero has no control over winning championships... Spot on Bro.

There is some truth in this statement. Consider this:
- A large percentage of LSU graduates leave La. post-graduation.
- Corporations have been pulling out of La. for decades
- La. can't compete with other states attracting new business.
- The state has a well earned reputation of corruption.

Well, it looks like all the dumbasses came out to reply to this. Recruiting now is a big joke - getting a commitment from a kid in the 10th grad doesn't mean s**t. Ed Orgeron did everything possible to get Surtain and Goodrich and none of you pointed what he could have done differently. You are the same people that have been yearning for Aranda to be HC; why didn't HE reel in these 2 DEFENSIVE backs?
Get off Orgeron's back. Ensminger will be a good OC and LSU will be a lot better this year. So kiss off.

Op you realize the whole O thing is based on what a great recruiter he would be at LSU
pay attention

listen to me closely. Elite players don't want to play for Orgeron, as he is being negatively recruited against by other coaches. Period. Other SEC coaches aren't downplaying Aranda and Raymond. They are telling these kids that O can't win (look at Ole Miss record) and that he won't be the HC by the time they are juniors.

Absolutely positively ALL of this!

he is the head coach. he is literally the first person you should blame for kids going elsewhere.

Excellent post cas4t.
Combine playing for championships (Alabama; Clemson; Oklahoma; Ohio State; Georgia) and Coach O's record and the direction of the programs is obvious to any recruit.

Uhhhh yes the frick you can

Orgeron failed to sell himself as a coach, and he failed to sell the LSU football program. That is absolutely on him. In contrast, the LSU basketball coach has his program recruiting on a national level because he has done both of those things well even though the team is currently in the lower tier of the SEC standings.
Both are responsible for their respective programs. Orgeron gets the blame, and Will Wade gets the credit.

If every recruiting failure should be blamed on the HC, then Les Miles should be sued for malfeasance in office. Have a good day.
Wow. Just .....wow. You are fricking clueless.

It's obvious to anyone who even remotely follows this stuff. Orgeron was doomed from the beginning. Far too many successful coaches who know how to sell in the mix.
Add in Jimbo and Mullen to UF and the cards are really stacked against him.
LSU needs a proven winner or at least and up and coming coach with a better story. Orgeron's story is horrible.

Your are correct but you are too logical for the haters that are fake Tiger fans. I think the fake fans hypocrisy is about as bad as getting beat by the gumps. Reading what some of these idiot say negatively about LSU is like I on a board that despises LSU. Sickening, worst fake fans U.

When people are pissed and the situation is hopeless, fans and longtime supporters vent. That is what this is. And why the hell wouldn't we vent? What hope do you see that almost everyone else doesn't? O is still our coach and now recruiting is not going well. Pardon me if I don't see a silver lining.
If eating the shite that a bunch of incompetent assholes are pooping makes you a true fan than count me out. True fans want to see their teams do well and want to have hope that things will be ok. This current administration both at the coaching level and above does not demonstrate that potential.

But what gets me - is if he respected Raymond and LSU - he should have let the staff know in advance so they could have locked down another DB...
It is his choice but he really screwed LSU by leading us on...
