LSU was interested in the kid, but we did not pursue him 100%, he was being slow-played and picked Bama, and most folks simply shrugged and said "oh well."
I know I wasn't disappointed when he went to Bama. Now, I distinctly remember when we lost Ernie Badeaux to Florida, it was like the end of the world in LSU land. As it turns out he flamed out at UF, ended up transferring somewhere and was never really heard from again. So it all worked out for us in the end.

Go back and read what I said again, Sport, I never said we weren’t going after Will 100%, but we do go after some recruits less than 100% (e.g. Slade Bolden), it is called “slow playing” a kid, a universally accepted concept in recruiting.

It’s always funny to see comments from people who have no clue. His parents do not bleed purple and gold. Neither one went to LSU and really no ties. Will is a mommas boy. No way he goes to Notre Dame. He will stay fairly close (4-5 hours).

Everybody knows everything about North Monroe and it’s people. My mother-in-law’s husband’s, daughter’s, sister’s, son, plays with Campbell’s brother too. We all have so much in common!
