Do you know what "taking a 180" means?
I dont think you know what it means. It means to change direction.

He was never an LSU lock or even lean
By all accounts over recent history LSU was making up ground and trending towards LSU lead ie heading in LSUs direction ie north
Then with one Sims offer it goes the opposite way from the direction it was headed ie bamas direction ie south
So what happens when you are headed in one direction then all of the sudden you go in the opposite. Thats right. You turn around and are now pointed the opposite way. Whats that called? 180

I say this strictly from a logical standpoint, Alabama will not win a single thing the 3 years Cam is in college. The law of averages says this is their last chance for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if they win this year, due to severely stacking the deck, but then it's over. Even Bama fans have to realize the unbelievable run they've been on lately has to end.
I believe Adrian Peterson said he decided on OU after going to the Texas-OU game his sr year (2003) which OU won 63-14 or something stupid like that. They did beat UT for the 5th straight year his freshman year and went to the BCS CG to get squashed by USC, but Texas beat OU the next 2 years he was at OU and of course won the BCS CG over USC in 2005.

Well, this is all very exciting and, thread length aside, not nearly as melt-downy as I would have expected. Lots of hoping for the best but willing accept the possibility of the worst. But one question I haven't seen asked (though, to be fair, I've only read the last 8 or 10 pages of this thread) that might bear thinking about. I don't want to get any LSU fan's hopes up but...
...if he's all set to make his Big Announcement (a magical time in any elite future millionaire football player's life) on Friday, why the frick would he tip his hand by following those Bama coaches? It makes no sense in any straightforward interpretation. It's not like they'll be able to tweet anything specific about him until he signs the dotted line, and I seriously doubt they'll have any earthshattering reactions to his commitment either way. There's just no reason for him to follow them now even if he's Bama-bound. He seems like a reasonably decent and presumably reasonably intelligent kid, so there's no point in bothering. I suppose he could be trying to ease LSU fans into their disappointment, but if that's the case, he might as well have waited til Friday and done it all at once, since if following the coaches was a signal, it's really no better than just making the announcement immediately. The only ways any of this makes sense are: 1) he's trolling Bama; or 2) he just decided to follow them because of Sims (didn't someone say he followed Napier as well as Cristobal? Both would be relevant.) The latter strikes me as one of the more likely explanations.

Yes he will. He is our replacement for Kevin Norwood

Sims is solid. I'll take noil, dupre, and Quinn over him though

I just feel bad for the guy. Used like a pawn when he could have gone to a program like ole miss who really wanted him and was trying to build something. I have no ill will towards him we didnt even offer him. Just hate to see local kids get the screw job. I hope he has a fine career at UA though except vs LSU.

If the offer months ago from Bama was legitimate then Id feel completely different. However it wasnt until last week or whatever that it became committable. I dont follow Bama recruiting but did yall miss out on a couple WRs or something? If so then that changes things.
Its not like he just camped and earned a legit offer or earned an offer through his play during the season because the season hasnt started. As it is it just looks like they see him filling out the roster in order to get a starter.

Cam don't ruin my weekend please
Posted on 8/28/13 at 12:35 am to Adam Banks
Yes we lost on Ermon Lane who staff was fairly high on and he felt too much pressure and committed to UF
There have also been a few guys who staff offered and guys moved on to other schools but Ermon was the domino that prompted his offer

Pretty sure Bama just whiffed on Ermon Lane (to UF) so, yeah, they'd be looking for another WR. They've only gotten one other WR commitment this class, according to the recruiting sites. If LSU is looking to take at least 3, and possibly 4, then there's nothing suspicious about Bama signing a second one in a class that's 4/5th full and probably not going to be pulling a third.

I don't think we are just taking him for that at all...he is a tall physical WR that has been taught really good technique uses his whole body arm extension etc to catch and Bama has a need and filled it
He was always a take in my book Big Cam or not

If he chooses bama, so be it. Some kids want to leave home. LSU will be fine. Two four star commits already. More will sure to follow in '14 '15,'16. etc etc. You think Illinois was happy to see Pocic leave? One recruit shouldn't make or break your class. Frankly I'm not so sure I want someone who isn't 100% LSU. If you have to beg, borrow or steal to convince someone who doesn't want to be here, it's not worth it.

What is the percentage chance that we get Cam 40% 50/50? Anybody with insider info or family connection, that can give realistic info?
