Exactly!!! Orgeron wasn't caught off guard here. And I'm quite sure he has a plan in mind

How can anyone say this for sure though? LSU shook the staff up. Ensminger was the one calling the plays in the games. Munoz was responsible for reading defenses. You really can't say how big of an impact both those guys had on Brady and vice versa. They all worked together with perfect chemistry. It's a big loss but I think people are overstating it a bit too much. LSU will be fine. They have nowhere to go but down on offense it doesn't matter if Brady stayed or left. You're not going to repeat this probably in our lifetime. Enjoy it while you can. I'm sure whoever gets the offense will do a great job with all this talent.

If anyone wants to only point at Brady as the reason this offense became so prolific this year then why did LSU's offense start to explode at the end of last season? I think it was more a product of Burrow blowing up with maturity at the right time.

I'm not going to lie and say the kid is giddy that Brady left by any means, but Brady was not the only coach on staff he that was recruiting Caleb, and others have a great relationship with him. Caleb also knew already the chance of Brady being there in 3 years was slim to none, and it was something already discussed with the staff as far as how things would be handled moving forward once he was gone.

Only concern for me is I'd imagine it makes an early commitment/recruiting for LSU from Williams unlikely.

If you look at the situation unemotionally, everyone handled it very well. Woodward and Orgeron did a good job of making a deal with Brady that kept other schools from hiring him unless as a HC and left the door open for him to be a coordinator in the NFL if he chose. Everyone publicly acknowledged the deal as good for LSU and for Brady, and he expressed his intention to return to LSU. Then, after all that, Carolina came in with a big-dollar offer that you can't honestly expect a young coach to pass up. Brady gets his shot on the big stage in the coordinator role and is getting paid a fortune to do it. Good for him. It's not like anyone lied in any way through the whole situation. Just that the Carolina offer was unexpected and changed the dynamics.

Let's just all say thanks to Joe Brady and wish him future success (except against the Saints).

I don't think an NFL team hired Brady if he was as insignificant in the offense as you're implying. It was alot of Brady and Burrow, and we were always taking a step down once Burrow left, no doubt about it. My only concern is that LSU has had one insane offensive year amongst a sea of mediocrity, so pressure will be on next year to prove it wasn't a fluke.

ETA - and I think recruits may wait to see if we can prove that too.

In other words, our current AD is the polar opposite of our former AD who possibly cost our BB team a deeper run last year by overreacting and mismanaging the situation with his coach

Caleb's Twitter account has been all LSU all day, he was even retweeting LSU propaganda after the news for Brady left. I'm sure he was halfway expecting this.

He's wrong yet again. Sorry to break your hearts. I know how much he means to you. Wonder if he'll run off crying again?

I watched a video of Joe Brady from 1/11/2020 of him claiming he wasn't going anywhere while pretending at the same time to be utterly oblivious of the Panther's job. He looked and sounded pretty damn convincing to me.

Indeed, you're an incredibly dumb mega idiot!

there were contingency plans in place by O and Woodward that will work out just fine.

Hoping they involved Jorge Munoz.

No but he’s the one who most of LSU’s offensive turnaround has been attributed too... players would rather go somewhere that has continuity in the system. Not a chance to maybe be great in a system we’ve never seen

Go frick yourself. Vol only reports inside information, and inside information at a high level was saying he stated. Why are you so insecure about yourself to keep criticizing Vol.

Two things I expect to happen sooner than later (but aren't 100% set in stone, they are still going to do their due diligence to replace correctly) is Munoz taking over Brady's spot and Frank Wilson back.

With Brady gone I’m sure this has him thinking, we need to make sure nussmier is getting attention

I think what Brady did more than anything is convince O that a modern dynamic passing attack was the only way to compete year in and year out with other elite programs. Now that that particular cat is out of the bag I don’t see much changing besides the faces involved.

Brady is obviously a talented dude but he isn’t the only one that knows how to draw up plays.

Good post. I don't know you and don't worship you. It feels like you have connections to the staff, but I don't know that either. I do know most of your posts are interesting to read so I hope you keep posting. There are plenty of ignorant posters on here that I try to ignore in order to keep coming back for LSU recruiting discussion. Hope you do the same.
