It’s funny how people put so much stock into this Vol guy.

I was hoping Nussmeier becomes more of a factor.

He's never been ruled out at all. Williams was just #1 on the board and he is #2. That can always change obviously

How do you think we'll look after this? Obviously this doesn't help, but do you think we can (from a schematic standpoint) stay the same?

I hope you’re right about this not affecting Caleb Williams’ recruitment. I would’ve been happy for Brady if he didn’t just sign an extension a few days ago

Meanwhile, Joe Brady never coached a QB in his life

As am I. Very thankful for all he did.

Yeah but I'm sure e has a good relationship with him also
If it was going to happen at least they have a year to smooth it

Also believe Brady had every intent of staying but tepper paid big and rhule is a good salesman

That’s hard to believe

Coach O as well as premium board people talked about Brady having an agreement in principle.

They went out of their way to talk about the NFL flexibility the deal had. They were essentially telegraphing this potential move.

I mean...not really. LSU still has the guy on staff who called plays for LSU all year. Brady was excellent no doubt but you guys act like he was the only reason LSU saw the big leap they did on offense. It was a combination of many things culminating in a perfect storm. Most of those pieces are still available on LSU's staff. Do you think Brady could've ended up with the success he had without Munoz, Ensminger, and Burrow?

The notion Coach O didnt know or that Brady was staying is nothing but a false narrative put out by the football program/AD so that our championship run was not derailed.

Think about it people. Do you really think there was time for Brady to interview and work out a deal from 11 last night to late this afternoon?

This was a done deal long before today. Does it matter? Not at all. Coach O has every right to keep things from the press/fan base all he wants.

It may not change him being our top priority at QB, but it's damn hard to believe it doesn't at least put him in a holding pattern for now.

Exactly. I think the "deal" with LSU was announced to help eliminate a possible distraction before the game.

The two biggest pieces, like the majority of the reason, are gone. No Burrow and no Brady. You just have to hope the process that found Brady is repeatable.

I'm not going to lie and say the kid is giddy that Brady left by any means, but Brady was not the only coach on staff he that was recruiting Caleb, and others have a great relationship with him. Caleb also knew already the chance of Brady being there in 3 years was slim to none, and it was something already discussed with the staff as far as how things would be handled moving forward once he was gone.
