I heard the same information from a source in Florida. Had a big Junior season, but has had a drop off this season.

I can def see lsu turning him away if the player evaluation on him is not where it needs to be. He projects as a safety at the next level and doesn't really have the fluid hip movement to turn lsu needs to play boundary corner. Also he takes plays off. Still a good player but I think lsu will get better without him

Yep. I’ve seen it multiple places not just from LSU people.
Not sure why it’s so far fetched for some folks to fathom. I guess just the optics bc our secondary has been so bad makes some panic.
Assuming BK has no plan seems foolish to me.

Playing immediately doesn't mean much if the entire defense around you is bad. Conversely, you'll look bad because you'll be expected to cover longer than you need to. Or you may have to play in a poor scheme that doesn't benefit/compliment your ability. I can't blame a defensive recruit for looking/going elsewhere. LSU currently looks like a train wreck on defense. It's up to BK to get this fixed and he may need to start with at least speaking publicly as if he's open to the idea of replacing defensive coaches....not that shite he was pushing on "SEC This Morning" about how House is a smart and innovative coordinator that has done it for many years. Man, that sounds as if he endorses retaining House. BK also spoke about due to injuries a lot of freshmen had to play...ummm, before the injuries this defense was bad. Been bad ALL SEASON! Perkins looks worse. Weeks doesn't know the calls but is more of a playmaker then Speights. There's just too much bad ju-ju with this defense.
