BREAKING: Boise State transfer QB Taylen Green has committed to Arkansas, per @PeteNakos_?? Green has 3,794 passing yards for 25 TDs and 1,022 rushing yards for 19 TDs over the past 2 seasons??
LSU was interested and had visited. Was scheduled to visit LSU this week. Look for LSU to shift to NC State QB transfer MJ Morris.
On3 X

Definitely was looking for a starting spot.
Morris should be a good one for hs
Have we heard anything about Chiles?

Most likely following his head coach to Michigan State.

Was always going to be hard to get him here with nuss.
Arkansas job is wide open.
I don't think the coaches are sold on nuss.

All indications from MSU fans up here in Michigan is that he's following Smith.

That's why we're only going for guys that are clearly willing to wait behind Nuss.
Otherwise, we'd have our choice of any transfer QB I'd have to think. Cam Ward or anyone else.
We literally just had another transfer QB win the Heisman - we ARE the destination for QBs looking to grow.
The only difference is, we're not offering a starting spot when pretty much everywhere else is.

all reports are that he is a diva and so is his dad dating back to high school.

So regurgitating information you don't know is true.

Based on what? The moves they are making with portal QBs say the exact opposite.

Exactly. Logic eludes some folks.
If they weren't sold on Nuss they would be looking for guys with significant starting experience they could bring in and slide into the starting line up immediately. Guys like Gabriel (OU), McCord (OSU), Rogers (MSU). They are doing just the opposite in looking at younger players with some, but not a ton of starting/playing experience. While there could be someone who enters the portal in the future that is too good to pass up, all indications are they are anticipating Nussmeier to be the starter and they are looking to find someone with experience to provide depth

I mean totally sold on nuss.
I'm sure they have reservations.

It's not Nuss. Ir's what they have behind them, which is no experience at all.

Maybe they aren't sold on his ACL durability, brain-fluid impact resilience or rotator cuff flexibility.
Need a back-up with a bit of experience, just in case he catches a stray.

If you truly believe they aren't looking for someone to compete for the starting job in 2024, I have a bridge to sell you. You don't chase guys with D1 starting experience to come in and give a gunslinger attaboys.

He's never started a game. Of course the coaches can't be fully sold until they actually see him in a significant amount of action.
But this isn't like a secenario where two coaches were staring down the barrel of Myles Brennan starting and thought "shite. We have to go get someone who can start NOW." Burrow was a 4th year player with only 2 years of remaining eligibility. He wasn't leaving OSU to hopefully compete for a job. He was looking to go somewhere he was, essentially, guaranteed to start. Daniels had been a starter for 3 years. He would likely have been the starter again at ASU in 2022. He wasn't looking to go somewhere to potentially take a lesser role. He was likewise going to choose a school where he new he could start.
The guys LSU is looking at now don't really fit that mold. I think that's why you are seeing Green commit to an Arkansas program that very well may be looking for a new HC after next season. There is not a lot of certainty in that program right now. Green doesn't care. He just wants to start. LSU clearly didn't/couldn't promise that. LSU is looking for someone to compete, but moreso to provide experienced depth to a group that has literally zero right now behind Nussmeier.

Nice get for Arkansas. Him and Petrino might get Tits another year.
