if brown commits anywhere other than LSU, most fans on here are going to be saying:

"eh, he wasn't that good anyways, and he was a pre-madonna"

(exactly that spelling too)

Bryce Brown = not Lebron James

Get over yourself Bryce. When everyone is talking about the new "Brown's" like they did about the new "Jordan's" then you can worry about your promotional worth. Besides high school kids aren't very marketable. High school kids don't run around saying "Man, I wish I was a high school kid." They want to play in the NFL, and to do that they generally need to be a pretty good college player first. You are neither. You want to play football or not Hollywood?

Let's just forget about Brown and move on. Yes, he's a good back, but he's not going to make or break this team.

true, LSU will be fine without him, but if miles snagged him, it would be truly a recruiting cherry on top of the other cherries.

And if he signs with LSU all these Kirk Herbstreit wannabes will all be thumping their chests on the SEC Board.

I had hoped he would make the right decision that being either Oregon (upside pro after running wild) or LSU (upside go pro after winning a national championship). I figured LSU would be the choice IF his advisor was feeding him good advice and he was truly making the desicion on the facts and not emotion.

Now as it gets closer and no buzz about LSU after his visit I believe more and more with each passing day that he will NOT be a tiger. Hope he chooses O if not LSU and he puts a pounding on USC.

He's a good prospect no matter where he goes. He seems to like the attention, but a lot of kids now do. If people are going to kiss your butt and you like people kissing your butt why would you ever tell these coaches, "hey, stop kissing my butt."

FWIW, I don't think he goes to LSU.

His mentor sounds too much like that Jimmy Jones guy from the 70's. Perhaps BB should be looking at BYU.

I guess Kiffin told Brown if he signed with LSU he'd be pumpin' diesel. Gas was already taken.

Bryce wants UnderArmour contract. He is an AU lock. I think that is why we lost OKU.

So I can name about 3 former Oregon players off the top of my head, one being Joey Harrington who is a miserable failure in the NFL.
In the same time span, I can name about 15 USC players off the top of my head.

Please do not correlate a giant picture of Joey in Times Square with a proud tradition of promoting players. FWIW, LSU players do not get much publicity either. I am simply stating if publicity is his primary goal, then he should quickly eliminate all 4 of his final teams and head to USC. At one point Miami would have fit this bill, but not anymore.

Nike is all over Oregon and if they have an awesome player they will be all over that guy. They spent half a million on Joey Harrington, how much would they have spent on Vince Young or Matt Staford for that matter. Dixon had a big campaign until he broke his leg.

For the record, Nike was founded by the track coach at Oregon. The CEO of Nike is probably the largest benefactor in college sports....period! He is a U of Oregon ulumni.

SEC wants to gripe about lack of respect but PAC-10 football ends after most of you have passed out in a drunken tiger stupor.

Imagine trying to recruit Cali kids to playt where it rains 6 months out of the year. Oregon has a juggernaut behind them but suffers from location.

I promise that if this kid lives up to the hype then Oregon will promote him like Jesus to the Christians. Any idea what it cost to put Harrington in Times Square? Would LSU pay it?

Ok, you guys win.

Oregon is equal to USC in terms of players receiving publicity.
