On Rivals. Do they watch film or just go by all star week evals?

This trend of shorts workouts, 7 on 7 and all star week meaning so much is really getting out of control. Not just about Brossette, its a horrible way to base a ranking. They all say its just a part of the process but its pretty apparent it sometimes is the process. Brossette for instance has been a 4* for 2 years and because of one perceived bad week of practice he gets dropped? So why rank kids that didn't even play in an all star game ahead of him? Oh that's right because of film and what they had seen before the all star weeks. Makes no sense to go against what you've seen for 2 years based on one week of practice.

Again not just about Brossette bit the hypocrisy in these rankings. Looking through the position rankings, rivals is really bad. I've never been a fan but they're pushing ESPN level now.

Just had to rant

Brossette a 3*? Now, that's some funny shite. These recruiting sites are getting worse every year.

Rivals drops Bamas recruits all the time. Well not really. But Rivals must have been mighty interested in investigating this important assignment. Hoped they didn't waste too much of their time on this project.

Its all about who they love more, I think. They having fun like any person who erects a battle scene on his kitchen table and plays with those little plastic soldiers by positioning them so he can win the battle.

Absurd - the kid is a big time talent with plenty of upside potential

Man frick those ratings all of them. I trust the staff at LSU. If we offer then the kid is either legit or has potential.

This will just add to the coaches' resume when a "3 star" makes it to the league. "LSU sure can coach em up."

Was talking with a UT booster yesterday and he is pretty confident brosette flips to play for Charlie.

Edit: no, I don't have a link. And I don't know how connected to the UT program he is other than to say he is filthy rich season ticket holder.

Yeah we should pass on him now. I am kidding. That's stupid. If he was going to Alabama he may be a 5*.

Spot on... lsufanva!

I also noticed that NB took a major fall in the previous rankings as well. NB fell over 100 spots prior to falling to a 3* in the last rankings. If rivals evaluators now think NB is only a 3* after having ranked so high to begin with what does that say about them as evaluators. That's why I dropped the subscription. Just a waste of money.

Yeah my girlfriends dad and brother went to UT and they follow recruiting very closely. They have been telling me Brossette is going to flip to them for a few months now. I used to think there was no way, but now I don't think I would be too shocked if it happened.

I still really want Brossette bad and hope he comes here.

I disagree. Most of the film on these recruits shows them matched against grossly inferior athletes. This is one of the few times you can get them together against equivalent competition. Also, kids change a lot at that age, so recent data is better than old data.

I don't have an opinion on Brossette, having never seen him play, but in general more emphasis should be on the results of competition against elites. Remember, that's how Mathieu stood out.

Miles is too close to Brossette to see this happen I believe. I honestly think the staff should have been targeting Bussey all along to be a Magee type back in the future in case we lose one.

Meh, I worry about Busseys durability. I think it was safe to pass him up.

only Brosette knows if he flips. their pay site fans have no idea and are making guesses out of their asses. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't.

Well they must have missed that championship game where he put the team on his back and went off to win the game!! Miles didn't forget. He's much better than a 3* so that's all that matters really. Oh well and I'm about to drop all these sites bc they obviously just do what ever the hell they want. Frick em all & GT.

The sports analysts that make those assessments are just writers that are wrong about their predictions a good chunk of the time. Brossette is no question a 4* athlete. frick Rivals. Let them under estimate our talent. Opinions are like assholes.
