Not really having to “Hold to signing day” seeing that basketball will get to campus in July likely. He’d enroll and start preseason work in a month.

I understand that he could sign and enroll now, but was there any indication that this was the plan? My understanding was that he was just planning to announce his commitment.

With all of the work and efforts he had to put into reclassifying, he will definitely have his decision made in time to be on whatever campus he chooses when summer workout begin. You don't bring yourself this far not to take full advantage of it. We will know for sure in a couple of weeks.

Maybe the Dickie V comments/rumors saying LSU received an NOA is causing the delay and Cisse is gonna see how it plays out in the next few weeks b4 committing ???
You can bet Calipari is in his ear.... scaring the shite out of him with that rumor. Convenient for UK to say the least.

Not sure why this is so hard to understand; but I'll help you and others out with this:

Maybe the young man sees what is going on in our country right now as a larger issue that needs to have the focus of all people maintained on it instead of him pulling focus away, no matter how big or small, long or short a time period, from that issue; especially when he is a member of the very race that is attempting to have their voice heard.

So instead of being cynical and believing there is some sinister motive at work, why not choose to believe the man is sincere in what he is saying, especially when you have no evidence or facts to to the contrary, and applaud him for making such a mature and conscientious decision at just 17 years old. That's the type of man I want playing for the team I love and cheer for.

Some of you need to chill out. He blatantly said why he is postponing it right now, it's not like we wont know soon enough anyways, even though he's already told our staff he's committing here. He's just not trying to cause any distraction and I dont blame him, after what I've seen in the last week I wouldn't put it past a bunch of people to bombard him on social media for committing "during a time like this" so best to let things blow over some then have his moment.

If he doesn't commit when I want him to, he's for sure gone.

He's just waiting for the protesting and things to die down some, then will announce, he basically said exactly that, it doesnt have anything to do with Dickie V being an a-hole, Dickie V has been repeating himself ad-nauseam for months for the last year + here on us.

You either take what he's saying at face value or figure he's lying and make up wild stories about connecting him giving a crap about what Dickie V says on twitter about us.

In this situation it just means no news. Its neither good or bad until we start hearing something from recruiting insiders saying he is rethinking his choice and we start seeing writers either pull their prediction or change it to another team. If that doesn't happen then we have to believe that he is sincere in what he said as his reason to postpone (as we have nothing to show otherwise) and that he is still all LSU as predicted by the recent trend of CB's and recruiting talking heads.

It's amazing how clueless some of you still are.

Cisse made a statement he didn't want to commit when things across the country were pretty heated on another issue, he personally felt it would be a distraction to commit then. It's his choice, whatever your opinion is doesnt matter.

After seeing how people have reacted to a lot of things people have said and done in the last week it SHOULD be pretty understandable why someone like him would postpone a public commitment. Really not hard to see here.
