What current or past qb would you compare him to? Just so all of us can get a full grasp of how good he is or could be.

Yeah he seems like a smaller school prospect... low level D1.

From this area I would compare him favorably to Jake Delhomme when Jake was about to be a senior in HS
He may not have as big an arm as Jake had at that age but he is more polished.

Hard to say definitively low level D1 when all you have to evaluate him is junior film. He is going to get bigger and stronger, he has been getting bigger and stronger for the past two years
I think he is at least mid to high level D1 in a program where he red shirts, sits for two years and competes for the starting spot as a junior and senior.
Like I said he is a film study nut, strong academics, good leadership skills, runs a sophisticated HS offense and has all of the physical tools necessary.
I think he is the exact kind of kid that we see in a few years playing on TV and LSU fans wonder "why didn't LSU recruit that kid? He was right there in Lafayette"

I agree. I think he is a kid LSU should at least take shot at. If the leadership quality is there then the true competitor is also there. If what you say about him is true then he's the type of kid LSU should at least offer. Only time can tell how good he'll be this coming season. If he puts up big numbers and shows a high football IQ, I dont see Krag not liking what the kid has to offer.

He has started since he was a sophomore and was 13-1 and 11-2 in 5A and 4A respectively. Being looked at by a lot of big boy football programs.

Throwing motion reminds me of Danny Wuerffel.

He definitely looks great for the time and place he's at right now. Proper developmental coaching could see him become great. It's been a while since we've had a quality, home grown, elite QB make it big.

I'll take that.

I'll admit the 1st time I saw this kid's film as a Soph I thought he was pretty damn good and LSU level. Thought the same after 1st seeing his Jr film. I wondered what I was missing after talking to some people about him. Seems that a lot of people like him but not enough for LSU. Same rings true for the Lissard kid. Evaluating QB film has never been my strong suit so maybe I'm just seeing things wrong. From my evals I've seen better but after a certain point most qbs start looking alike to me on film aside from the ones that just jump out arm talent wise.

In my opinion, the biggest things to watch with younger guys are...
1. Foot work - how they throw out of 3 and 5 step drops. do they step up into a pocket (when one is there in high school)? do they throw off their back foot?
2. Decision Making - Do they only throw to a primary reciever? How often to they make the wrong/right read?
3. Accuracy - Accuracy is very hard to teach. There's only so much mechanics can do. Arm strength can be developed to a certain degree.
As far as Brandon goes, I think the kid has a lot potential to be a very good QB at a major program. He's got good accuracy and foot work and for the most part makes good reads. He's arm strength is only going to get better with time in the weight room. To me, he may be a steel for the program that gets him.

He resembles an LSU QB who wore #13. You might remember him: Hodson.

He has tons of upside
He went to the LSU camp a few weeks ago and did well
If he has a good summer at the camps his recruiting will blow up
STM will not be as deep defensively and they lose Matt Flores running the ball. So Bergeron will be called upon to carry a lot of the load offensively. He has good receivers to throw to so he should pile up some big numbers next season.

A better receiving core will come back with Jake Juneau who's getting recruited by LSU and mid major programs, and Seth Kelley brother of UL line backer Lance Kelley

LSU won't sign a kid 6'2" or under. I heard that right from Frank Wilson's mouth...

I wouldn't. LSU has a bunch of QB's on the radar right now.

So what I'm gathering thus far is that we're all pretty much in agreement that this kid deserves a shot at the least. Most of the evals I've seen on him all praise most aspects of his game. Really the only knock on him that ive is the fact that (what critics say) his arm strength isn't all that great. Granted I've only spoken to opposing players/parents that have played against the kid. But as far as I can tell, he has a tremendous upside and a downside that will only deminish over time. I think he's a top flight qb at the next level.... But hey, I could be wrong
