LSU first, then Oklahoma.

I love being the first as much as I hate not being the last lol.

Not really the last impression tends to last longer than the one a few weeks before. Rather us get the last word you can see what Oklahoma offers him and run off that

I think NIL nullifies that sentiment.

Hopefully Bowe knows football and he knows LSU can surround him with playmakers and a better shot at a Heisman.

What if he commits and cancels the other visit? Would that be good?

Yea, maybe we can develop those relationships first.

I assume the NIL money talk has happened before the OV…just didn’t want us to have to throw out a number first…then OU has the last chance to meet/beat it.

That would be great…but i doubt we put that much pressure on him that weekend.

Let Nic Anderson host him that weekend and tell him how much better LSU is for him than Oklahoma. Also, what are elite QB’s lining up to go to Oklahoma for now that Riley is gone? Do they not see what happened to Jackson Arnold?

It makes me nervous because my BIL is an OU Blowhard (at least he went there), and subscribes to all the podcasts/premium boards.

He's 90% confident he will be a Sooner. He said they are all in.

does LSU have more NIL money than OU? OU people claim they have the richest NIL in the SEC.

The question is how much LSU sees him as a future LSU star considering all of the 2027 talent waiting ahead. They may decide to make a more conservative play, banking on paying up for the 2027 starter and look for a portal QB in 26' to go with Van Buren and Hurley.

I don't know the answer, just speculating on Kelly's possible approach.

Get Lil nuss and we will be fine. MVB and JJ can hold down the fort for a year or 2.

At least we will get a visit , had he visit Oklahoma first , they could've talked him into shutting it down .

I'm not sold on Venables as a head coach , great defensive mind like Aranda, but head coach still question mark.

2 competing potential psychological effects:

Primacy- the opening statement is often the most well received with all due attention and an open minded objective assessment of the facts

Recency- the closing statement is often the lasting impression that offers the “taste in the mouth” that continues furthest in time

6-7, 10-3, 6-7 and 0-3 in bowl games. You have a reason to not be sold.

I live 20 minutes from Celina, and it's a skip from Norman. Just over 2 hours and all interstate and dont have to go through DFW traffic.

Just wondering how big of a factor that is

Another thing that worries me is Arbuckle is a 30 year old hotshot OC and with Mateer this year they will be night and day fun and gun vs last year.

I see what you’re saying. Lsu is going to ball out. In this kid’s brain, he’s going to compare everything OU does to the week before.

The name “Bowe Bentley” is an OU name if I ever heard one

“Beaux” Bentley….its too perfect for him not to come to LSU. The merchandising alone would be off the charts!

All of that aside, the qb room is small and pretty much wide open after 2025. I’m not too familiar with Oklahoma’s qb room, but I would imagine it’s not as enticing as ours to an elite qb prospect. Oh and btw, we have 2 heisman qb winners in 5 years.

Let’s geaux Beaux! Join the family!
