Namecalling...pretty much a sign you really didn't have anything to say. Once again, everyone should have a right to evaluate a prospect here. You didn't hesitate evaluating my opinion did you? I get it now...you think free speech is only for you.

Stop. A high school kid committed to LSU. No need to post he won’t start a game at for us. You aren’t a coach and can’t see the future. Move on.

Obviously I had already seen his 3 minute video of HIGHlights. I consider those less impressive than any of the LBers signed in the LSU 2024 class. On the int on the goal line, you praised him for moving back 25 yards. You know at his current weight of 200 or less, he is safety size so for someone at that weight, it is not remarkable to move back 25 yards on a slow developing pass play right? What is rather funny is one of the clips Ross is being blocked completely out of the play, his teammate forces the fumble by the QB, and he does a "look what I found" and falls on the ball. C'mon man, that is a highlight for his teammate not him. BTW, he didn't run over my dog or anything so nothing personal, but he is being way overrated by you and some other posters here.
Once again, his rating doesn't surprise me nor does his lack of impressive offers. I see on Dave Campbell's Texas site (pretty well respected related to Texas HS football), he isn't even ranked 40th in Texas as the recruiting services composite has him. DC has him rated 91st best player in Texas.

You know people post all the time about how player such and such is going to be a star for LSU, going to solidify a position for the next 3 years, will be an All American before he is done, etc.
So let me understand you. When someone predicts how great a player will be, they are allowed to be a coach and can see the future? Is that the double standard you think makes sense? Once again, we will see who is right here. Let's see if he moves up in the rankings...see who offers him in the future, etc. Fair right?

Do you know how many of these college linebackers come in between 200-210 pounds

Wow!! You actually believe that?

A lot of them do as you know. But the point was that Ross was doing something remarkable for dropping back 25 yards on a slow developing pass play...as you pointed out, future LBers in college often have really safety weight in HS. I agree with you on that.

Man, if I were you, the last player I would try to compare him to is Cobbins.
You can't. Because Cobbins only plays at the line of scrimmage lol

I also forgot to mention that he even as a SO has more violent tackles and his spin moves are more advanced than most HS players. Hell, I'm sending some highlights of those to Perkins who definitely needs to develop a spin move.

I'm just repeating myself as are the posters on the other side. I have no doubt they are sincere in their beliefs but so am I. And I don't think anyone can remotely accuse me of being anti-LSU. As I've said, I don't disagree with Ross being offered a scholarship. Having said that, I expect him to be a special teamer and career sub at whatever position. This is my last post on the subject. We will judge Ross by 1) his SR performance/highlights 2) his final ratings by recruiting services and Dave Campbell's ranking 3) if he is able to improve his offers, etc.

Because after he ran a 10.66, 10.45, & 10.67 100s in track, the door will start getting beat down. At 6’2” 210lb and growing that’s a pretty big bullet coming at you.

His offer list is pretty bad. Why do you think he is going to end up so high?
Because every low rated commit is a diamond in the rough that nobody else knows about according to this board

Cobbins isn’t playing LB at lsu, doesn’t have the lateral quickness
He’s playing edge, an undersized edge at that
He’s like 6’1 215

As to you calling him a future starter I assume after not having finished his HS career. Oh, and BTW on the Whit Weeks hit about not shedding blockers, blah, blah, blah. WW is playing in the SEC while Ross is playing in HS...albeit in the highest classification in Texas. That is not remotely a fair comparison. And yes, I'm projecting Ross just like 100+ colleges projected him with the vast majority not interested and all the recruiting services rating him where IMO he should be rated. Ross appears to be a mid-level caliber starting LBer or a Power 5 conference 2nd string guy.
There you go. Guess Blake baker doesn’t know what he’s doing

Put him at Safety with that speed and size

Wait. 4 star players are “low rated” now?
